Clash on Abaddon has elements from multiple game types and merges them into a deep and complex tower defense game. You have your standard tower defense mechanic of protecting yourself from waves of enemies racing down predetermined paths by creating towers of various types. Additionally, you can choose between a few heroes whose spells can increase your chances of success. These spells range from destructive energy attacks to boosting the attack speed and range of towers. Heroes can also activate beacons around the map that offer different effects such as revealing invisible units or increasing attack damage of all towers. Finally, CoA includes the classic StarCraft II economy management which allows you increase your probe count and upgrade your basic buildings so that you’ll always have a healthy income.
StarCraft Heroes – Rory Swann.
An old Morian mining ad said, “The more inhospitable a moon appears, the more likely it is to find riches beneath its surface.” Those closer to Rory Swann see him as a prime example of this notion.
Planets StarCraft – New Folsom.
Due to its rich mineral resources, attempts were made to set up mining colonies, but the first three attempts failed. New Folsom had the greatest concentration of catalytic elements in Confederacy territory. These are required to forge Neosteel.
StarCraft Units – Ghost.
Ghosts represent the pinnacle of Terran evolution and physical conditioning. These individuals are born with enormous psionic potential, which is why they are recruited by the government for further training and quarantined while they are still children. Channeling their psionic energies allows Ghosts to greatly increase their natural strength and endurance.
StarCraft Missions – Between Heaven and Hell.
Description: Thanks to you, we’ve secured our landing zone, Commander. General Warfield states that under the circumstances, attacking the primary Zerg swarm would be suicidal. That’s why we need a diversionary tactic to keep the Zerg forces occupied and give us the opportunity we need.
StarCraft Buildings – Assimilator.
The Assimilator, a Protoss structure that can only be built on top of Vespene Geysers, allows the player to collect Vespene Gas. Probes sent to an Assimilator will return Vespene Gas to the nearest Nexus. The Assimilator is equivalent to the Terran Refinery and the Zerg Extractor, but has significantly higher endurance.
