Tychus Findlay
Finding out the truth about Tychus Findlay’s past isn’t easy. There are enough anecdotes, but picking a grain of truth from these flowery tales is more than a challenge. Some stories portray Findlay as a scoundrel who would sell his own mother to Kimera pirates for the right offer, while others portray him as a loyal soldier who risked his life in the Guild Wars to save his fellow marines. Even the man who knows him best by far, James Raynor, isn’t sure which stories are true. He only knows for certain what he saw with his own eyes, ever since he and Tychus Findlay became comrades and eventually friends in the Confederate army.
Tychus Findlay
Tychus Findlay and Jim Raynor first met at Fort Howe on Turaxis II, a particularly bloody battlefield of conflict between the Terran Confederation and the Kel-Moria Combine. Tychus Findlay had just completed his time in a military correctional facility and brought with him a history of insubordination. Raynor, on the other hand, was from a farm, fresh out of training camp, and had already been decorated and promoted for special combat performance. Despite these apparent differences, both Marines were equally worthless in the eyes of the Confederacy, and for better or worse they depended on one another for any chance of survival.
As the war continued, both Raynor and Tychus Findlay joined the 321st Battalion Colonial Rangers, an elite combat unit tasked with top-priority missions on Turaxis II. Tychus and Jim were excellent soldiers, and their unit – known as Heaven’s Devils – had quickly gained a reputation as a particularly daring and effective military force. After completing their service with the Heaven’s Devils, Jim Raynor and Tychus Findlay’s military careers came to an abrupt end. Both Marines deserted after a mission into Kel-Morian territory failed and resulted in friendly shelling, killing five Confederate soldiers. Tychus Findlay and Jim Raynor blamed their superiors, but both men already knew they would be held accountable for the dead. And they were right: the Confederate military charged the duo in absentia with manslaughter.
Tychus Findlay and Jim Raynor were on the run from the law for the next few years. They roamed the Koprulu sector together and eventually amassed a small fortune through robberies. Tychus Findlay in particular soon acquired a legendary reputation for his habit of embellishing the details of his experiences in all conversations without restraint. He thrived on being a criminal, and with the credits he had earned, he had access to everything that meant the comforts of life to him: liquor, brothels, and the best cigars in the industry. But the good times didn’t last long – just like her life as a soldier in the guild war, her life as a criminal also came to a sudden end. During one particularly risky heist, authorities cornered Tychus Findlay and Jim Raynor and arrested Tychus Findlay. Jim Raynor, however, managed to escape in the confusion that followed.
Rumor has it that Tychus Tychus Findlay is now being held in New Folsom Jail. Convicts transferred to this high-security facility rarely see the light of day again, but Tychus Findlay is tough as nails. Even if it seems like he has the worst cards imaginable, he always finds a way out even in the most difficult situations. Nobody knows this better than Raynor, so it wouldn’t surprise him if the two men crossed paths again one day.

Campaigns in general
In Starcraft 2, as in the first part, there is a single player mode. In this mode you play the campaigns of each race. On this page you will find the individual missions of the campaigns which we summarize as a walkthrough.
All three campaigns will be released as single games. These will be released in intervals of about 1-2 years and have the following titles.
Wings of Liberty – Terran Campaign
Heart of the Swarm – Zerg Campaign
Legacy of the Void – Protoss Campaign
All three campaigns have a story mode and a game mode. In the story mode, as you know it from role-playing games, you play from the point of view of a character, e.g. Jim Raynor, with whom you get information about planets, units or the story. Here you’ll also make important decisions that will determine the course of the game’s story. It can happen that you only see some cutscenes if you have completed a certain mission sequence. You can also postpone some missions and complete them later. There are also decisions in the story mode that have an effect on the missions. For example, you decide which units will be used for a particular mission. The missions are designed so that you can complete them using different tactics.
Story (Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty) The story of StarCraft II Wings of Liberty continues the saga and takes place four years after the events of StarCraft: Brood War. The storyline features familiar characters such as Jim Raynor or Kerrigan, but new heroes such as Tychus J. Findlay or Matt Horner also play a role.
However, the campaigns of the three races are completely different. In Wings of Liberty you have to earn money through missions to reinforce your troops. As far as the story is concerned, you are Jim Raynor with the Raynor Raiders fighting against the League. The Zerg, on the other hand, have no money problems and there is no need to buy expensive technologies. The Zerg campaign itself is more role-playing oriented and you act from Kerrigan’s point of view. The Protoss campaign is mainly about diplomacy.
