This is the spotlight hour: Each week, a specific Pokémon will take center stage in the game. Players can thus look forward to an increased appearance of the Pokémon in the wild every Tuesday between 6 and 7 pm. And that’s not enough, because each of the Pokémon also comes with a special bonus. If you have enough Pokéballs, you can catch 200 of the selected Pokémon during a spotlight hour, including Shinys.

Worth the spotlight hour: Voltobal’s Hisui form has already been introduced in Pokémon GO, so the Spotlight Hour is only worth it to a limited extent. Worth the spotlight hour: Spotlight Hour is only worth it if you’re still looking for a dazzling specimen of Nidoran (female) or want to earn XP. This is because for every Pokémon caught during the Spotlight Hour, you will receive additional XP. This could help you level up faster. If you’re in a hurry, you can also use a lucky egg and get four times the amount of capture XP.

Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour on August 16 with Wattzapf

This is the spotlight hour: At this spotlight hour, you will run into Wattzapf more often. The Beetle Electric Pokémon also offers you double Catch Candies as a bonus.

Worth the spotlight hour: This spotlight hour in August is not a highlight either. Wattzapf is neither rare nor particularly strong in Pokémon GO, and every trainer should already have its evolution level in their backpack.
