What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour takes place weekly on Tuesday evenings in Pokémon GO. During this hour, the focus is on a Pokémon that appears more often than its fellow Pokémon.
With Meditie, a Pokémon of the type Psycho and Battle is in focus this week. You also get more experience when evolving Pokémon. Two weeks ago, Machollo, a strong battle Pokémon, was already up for grabs in the Spotlight Hour.
Spotlight Hour with Meditie – Start, Bonuses & Shiny
When does the spotlight hour start? As usual, the spotlight hour starts today at 18:00 German time. From this time on, Meditie will appear more frequently for 60 minutes until 19:00, when the event and the increased spawns will end again.
What are the bonuses? During the hour with Meditie, you will receive a bonus to the experience that comes with evolving Pokémon. This means that you can collect double the amount of XP for all evolutions between 18:00 and 19:00. This applies to all Pokémon, not just Meditie itself.
Does Meditie come as a Shiny? Yes, both Meditie itself and its evolution Meditalis are available in Pokémon GO in their shiny versions and can be grabbed during Spotlight Hour if you’re lucky. However, there is no bonus on iridescent monsters during the event.

Is the spotlight hour with Meditie worth it?
That’s how strong Meditie is: You can’t necessarily do much with Meditie himself if you want to fight. With his evolution Meditalis, however, it’s a different story. Especially in the Super League in PvP, Meditalis can really score points.
Apart from that, however, the Pokémon is not necessarily worth it if you only want to look for strong attackers. For both Battle and Psycho types, other Pokémon are clearly ahead when it comes to Arena battles and Raids.
For whom is the spotlight hour worth it? If you’re still missing a Psycho Battle Pokémon for the Super League, you might be interested in the Spotlight Hour today. Also, if you are still missing a dazzling specimen of Meditie or its evolution, you should try your luck today.
The EP bonus on all evolutions also makes tonight’s event interesting for those who are still missing a bit of experience to the next level. If you are looking for a really strong Pokémon for Raids and can do without the rest, you will rather go empty-handed tonight.
