Update 07/26/2022: There’s a fresh spotlight hour coming up in Pokémon GO this Tuesday. The spotlight is on Medite on July 26. Medite makes an increased appearance in the wild from 6 to 7 p.m. and can also be shiny. The little rascal is of type Fighting and Psycho and its evolution Meditalis is a really strong fighter in the GO Fighting League. Unfortunately, Medite is not really rare. However, if you want to level up your trainer rank, you can enjoy double experience points for developing your Pokémon during the spotlight hour.
What is really worthwhile for you since today is the new adventure smoke in Pokémon GO. The free item gives you the chance to get 3 new Legendary and rare spawns in the wild every day.
Update 07/19/2022: Today starts the spotlight hour on Sterndu in Pokémon GO. Starting at 6 p.m., the starfish will increasingly appear in the wild. Especially if you are on the hunt for Shinys, you should make good use of the time, because currently Sterndu is rarely found in the wild in Pokémon GO. Also, save all the Pokémon you want to send to the professor. In the Spotlight Hour with Sterndu, you’ll get double Sending Candy for every monster you send in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight hour on July 5 with Ledyba at a glance
This is the spotlight hour: The first thing you can look forward to in July in Pokémon GO is Ledyba. When you catch Ledyba, you will receive double XP during the Spotlight Hour.

Is the spotlight hour worth it: Not particularly, because Ledyba is not a very strong Pokémon and you can also get the Ledian evolution with 25 candies. So the only thing that makes the July 5 Spotlight Hour worthwhile is the extra XP you get from catching Pokémon. So if you use another lucky egg, you can get four times the amount of XP and level up faster. The day is also worthwhile if you are still looking for an iridescent specimen of Ledyba.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight hour on July 12 with Machollo at a glance
This is the spotlight hour: On July 12, Machollo awaits you in the spotlight hour. Machollo has two more evolution levels with Maschok and Machomei. Each time you catch one, you get double the amount of catch candies, which means you get at least six candies per Machollo.

Is the spotlight hour worth it: The spotlight hour is worthwhile to a certain extent. With Machomei, Machollo has a pretty strong last stage of development, which is well suited for battles. So if you don’t have Machomei yet, you can use the extra candies to quickly evolve your Machollo. You also have the chance to catch a Shiny Pokémon.
Pokemon GO: Spotlight hour on July 19 with Sterndu at a glance
This is the spotlight hour: The water Pokémon Sterndu will be the focus of Pokémon GO on July 19. With the help of 50 candies, you can evolve Sterndu into Starmie. For the spotlight hour, you will receive double shipping candies.

Is the spotlight hour worth it: Sterndu is especially interesting for Shiny hunters, because the Pokémon currently appears quite rarely in the wild. However, Sterndu and Starmie do not become really strong. July 19 is otherwise only worthwhile for sending Pokémon. The best way to do this is to collect all Pokémon until the deadline and then send them collectively to the professor.
Pokemon GO: Spotlight hour on July 26 with Meditie at a glance
This is the spotlight hour: July’s final spotlight hour will revolve around Meditie. The Battle Psycho Pokémon can evolve into Meditalis, giving it a moderate next evolution level. At Spotlight Hour, you will receive double the evolution XP.

Is the spotlight hour worth it: The event is only worthwhile if you want to catch a dazzling specimen of Meditie or if you are fans of the PvP mode, because here Meditalis is one of the best Pokémon. The EP bonus is especially exciting for trainers who are not yet at the maximum level. For this, you should keep all the Pokemon you want to evolve until the deadline and then evolve them during the spotlight hour.
You can also look forward to Community Day with Staralili in July.
