Spandau to dominate the Prime League?

Special from Prime team Eintracht Spandau talked to us about the current split and made it clear that he has high ambitions.Joran “Special” Scheffer is the mid laner of the Prime League team Eintracht Spandau. This team is currently at the top of the table alongside Schalke 04 and dominates the German league. In this interview, he talks about his desire to win the Prime League in a way that has never been seen before.

Special: “Start excellent.”

Eintracht Spandau only made its Prime League debut in the last split. However, this one started with a lot of defeats. In the course of the competition, however, the team was still able to show its strengths and also made it to the EU Masters. This time, however, things are looking much better for Eintracht Spandau. Now they are at the top of the table with five wins and one loss.

“Compared to the last split, this start is excellent. This time it’s the other way around, so now we have to hope we don’t lose twelve games in a row,” Special says with a laugh. “I feel like everyone needed a break and that worked out great. We just picked up where we left off at the end of the spring split and things are looking really good.”

Looking back, the Mid-Laner also believes that the difficult split also brought some positive things. “It just takes some time to figure out what it’s like to work with each other and what we expect from each other. And for us, it took quite a while to actually start living together[…]. After we got into the office and were in Spandau and with the whole organization, we improved drastically,” Special said.

“I am confident that we will win the Prime League.”

At the start of the Spring Split, the club, true to their ways, again made it clear that they would the Prime League. But Special wasn’t so sure about that at first.

“I had very low expectations because we had very little practice before our first official game. […] I’m not going to lie, we only started scrimmaging two or three days before our first game. And I know other teams have been scrimmaging for two or three weeks. So I went in with the mindset that the worst could happen,” the LoL pro explains of his concerns before the first game, “But for some reason, it made us less stressed and more focused. After all, with no expectations, things can only get better. So nothing can go wrong in that sense.”

But despite the initially negative attitude, Special is sure to win the Prime League this split. But that’s not all, because he has high ambitions. “Winning the Prime League is just the first thing. We want to win, of course, and we want to do it in a way that hasn’t been done before. I know GamerLegion had the longest win streak in the last split. We’re going to beat that. But we’re going to beat that more than a little bit,” Special explains of his particular goals, adding confidently:

“I’m confident we’ll win the Prime League and make it to at least the semi-finals of the EU Masters.”

Special and his team Eintracht Spandau are currently on a good path to win this split. Nevertheless, the Prime League is still quite early, so things can still turn around.
