Here’s how the special research works: In total, the special research consists of seven steps. After Step 1 and Step 2, you can choose between three paths. After step 1, you decide whether you want to focus on discovering, capturing, or fighting. After Step 2, you choose the difficulty level.

Do the rewards differ? So, there are numerous walkthroughs that you can use for special research. The rewards differ to some extent. However, all Pokémon that are available in the special research are the same everywhere. So you won’t miss Shaymin no matter which way you take.

How to solve the step: The first step is the same for all trainers. You have to solve the following three tasks:

This is how you have to choose: Next, you have to decide in which direction your special research should go. You can choose between exploring, capturing or fighting. Depending on your choice, your tasks will be adjusted accordingly.

How to solve the step: Here it gets a bit more complicated. In total, there are three different paths that you can get in the special research. We have always written in the table which way it is.
