What was the event? In the multiplayer mode of CoD Vanguard as well as in Warzone, a special event for the new Pacific map in Warzone should have actually started on November 24, 2021. In Secrets of the Pacfic, there were actually supposed to be 12 challenges offered in both games. In Warzone, for example, you had to visit certain locations.

In addition, there were double XP tokens and the possibility to earn a special legendary blueprint for the powerful STG44 assault rifle.

So players were already in a good mood and motivated to get started on the evening of November 24. But then everything came differently.

Players wonder how this little event can cause so much trouble

What went wrong? Massive game problems spoiled the fun for everyone. The event could hardly be played, the game was said to be constantly crashing. It was not clear what the problem was. Some players thought that the notorious fighting dogs were to blame, because the crash would always have occurred when someone had let the dogs loose.

According to other reports, however, it was not the dogs, but something else. The developers were also unable to identify the error immediately and had to throw in the towel. After less than an hour, the event and the associated challenges had to be removed from the game.

What do the players say? On Twitter, many players are getting properly upset. They don’t understand how an event that consists of only a dozen challenges can cause such massive problems.

Imagine adding an “event” to the game that literally changes nothing in gameplay or anything like that, and still manages to break the game.

Also, it upsets a lot of people that something in Vanguard is always broken or just annoying. For example, it still upsets a player that you can summon the already annoying dogs several times because an item is buggy.

What do the developers say? The developers have stated via Twitter that they are on the case and are working on a solution as soon as possible. They would get back to you when everything is working again.

However, they are running out of time, as the event is only supposed to run until December 8, 2021. Because then, finally and after postponement, the new Pacific map in Warzone is supposed to go online and Vanguard will merge with Warzone.
