Have you also noticed how incredibly cheap all FIFA Ultimate Team cards are? The transfer market is really broke. Dembélé for 19k, Goretzka for 30k or Varane for 150k, any meta card will be thrown after you. Why is that? And which players are particularly cheap?
We’re blown away. What’s going on in the transfer market in FIFA 22? The players are so damn cheap – this is extremely unusual for FIFA at this point in time. We would even go so far as to say: This has never happened before!
Son for 70k, Kanté less than 300k, even Neymar, a classic million dollar player, can be had for a relaxed 600k.. the fact that well-rated cards like Ziyech or Casteels cost nothing is now a minor matter! But now we’ve been amazed enough, let’s see why that is and whether that might change soon?
The reason for the first market crash in Ultimate Team
Let’s first look at the first market crash, which was several weeks ago: There were several reasons for this development. On the one hand it was of course due to the blatant Weekend League Rewards . We’ve made it clear in this article that getting Elite 3 rewards with just 8 wins is really questionable.
This year almost every player gets blatant rewards. And of course that had an impact on the transfer market. More players were offered, the demand fell and the price fell as a result. In the end, a lot of FIFA gamers had a great team right from the start. There was nothing more with starter teams ….
Fun fact on the side: This year you get the Gold 3 Rewards from last year with 20 defeats (!). If we think about it longer, it’s actually not that funny, but rather sad. Either way, this affected the transfer market and prices fell extremely.
To reiterate, Premier League players and top rated tickets were usually priceless in October! Another point: Packluck. The pack luck was screwed up at that time. That’s really nice of EA, but that also results in a broken market.
Preview Packs: That’s why the second market crash happened
The preview packs , which almost everyone opens every 24 hours, are another reason why the prices are falling. In general, it is not really good for the market if every second FIFA player scores points in his club and draws endless packs. And that too is a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly popular. Usually it’s 7.5k preview packs though…
On Sunday, however, a 50k pack landed in the Ultimate Team shop. With the preview packs you can see what kind of cards you can expect before you buy them. And with this pack, the chances of getting good cards aren’t that bad, after all it’s also one of the best packs in the game :
Of course, not everyone draws something wild, but with the mass of players indulging in this pack, you’re more likely to end up with some worthwhile cards. The cards from these packs then ended up on the transfer market – and seem to have caused an oversupply.
That’s why there were several factors for the first crash and why even the best player in FIFA 22 is relatively cheap and noticeably heavier teams will come our way in the next weekend leagues. But there is a simple reason for the current market crash: EA’s nice way of dealing with the community. That I would say that…
FIFA 22 – FUTs
What could be cooler than just relaxed gaming and doing some sofa sports on the side? In FIFA 22, the player is on the move fast, but without getting sore muscles. With the Ultimate Team Event cards, the collecting instinct is now also satisfied. However, the FUT Heroes keep creeping into my mind, so here are the best Ultimate Team Event cards that are definitely worth adding to your collection.
Heroes cards selected by EA for top qualities
Admittedly, the FUT heroes will cost quite a bit of coin, but it turns out that EA has once again brought some top-class players into the game when it comes to selection. As a collector and hunter, it’s an added attraction for FIFA gamers to now include their own favorite heroes in the portfolio and benefit from their individual skills. Both in the game and in team building, the FUTs will revolutionize the game once again.
EA SPORTS FC: FIFA GAME SERIES TO BE CONTINUED UNDER NEW NAME
Of course, the soccer simulation game series will not be discontinued completely. After FIFA 23, EA will relaunch the game under the name EA Sports FC and market it independently. Old FIFA hares should now become quite an ear, after all, the EA Sports Football Club used to be a part of the actual game for years. A lot of playing was rewarded, points could be collected and items, boosts or balls for the individual game modes could be unlocked.
In this context, there could also be a complete revolution of the classic game. There is a heated discussion in the FIFA community about whether the game, which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023, will be free-to-play. This option is said to be on the table for the game makers from EA, because: It seems that EA earns most of its money with the purchases of FIFA Points in the game mode Ultimate Team and not with the sale of the game itself.
