Good news for all fans of The Division 2. In a community update, the developers have announced two major title updates for 2022. In addition, a “Year 5” is officially planned. The contents of the roadmap and why not everything goes according to plan, we show you on MeinMMO.
The loot shooter The Division 2 had long disappeared from the scene. In 2020 came the big expansion “Warlords of New York”, but the support should end abruptly and surprisingly. Only when it became clear that the fan base was larger than expected, development was ramped up again on a small scale. This led to – Season 9 with Title Update 15, which was apparently successful enough to keep Division 2 on the back burner. Because a new community update now shows a roadmap for the planned updates 2022 – two pieces are still to come. In addition, the developers confirm content for “Year 5”. This makes it clear that Division 2 will continue to run after March 2023.
What else the community update reveals, you can find below. The 2022 roadmap is included here:
Division 2: 2 title updates coming in 2022
What does the roadmap reveal? You get an overview of the approximate release dates of the two planned – Season s 10 and 11 and the content that is included:
- – Season 10
- Starts end of August
- New Manhunt
- New equipment and weapons
- Legendary difficulty for Tidal Basin and Manning National Zoo
- – Season 10 test server launches in August
- – Season 11
- Starts early December
- New Manhunt
- New game mode
- New equipment and weapons
In addition, minor adjustments are planned, such as “Quality of Life” changes that should enhance the gameplay experience. The community update also mentions the new “Countdown” mode. The developers are happy about a lot of positive feedback and would like to implement a game wish: more setting options for the difficulty level of the new mode. “Still one of the best games for me” – Why shooter fans should catch up with The Division 2. However, there is also a bit of a setback. When – Season 9 was announced, the developers promised extensive revisions to the specializations, which is sort of the class system in The Division 2. There is still no date for these major revisions. The developers write that they won’t give out a release date until they are satisfied with the adjustments.
Almost in an aside, there is then some excellent news for all fans of the loot shooter: The Division 2 will get a “Year 5”. It will probably continue in March 2023 with – Season 12. However, there is currently no more information about this. In addition to the main Division title, the roadmap also shows info on some spin-offs that are in the works. There was a limited test of the Free2Play title The Division: Heartland and a mobile game for Division is to be announced at the beginning of July. However, the community update does not offer more details.
