29-year-old Andy “Reginald” Dinh is the head of Team SoloMid, the largest and most important League of Legends team in the US. Now Riot Games says they are launching an independent investigation against him. Because the head of TSM, is accused of abusing employees and LoL players.

This is the announcement now: As reported by WIRED magazine, Riot Games has commissioned an investigation against Reginald. In a statement from Riot Games it says:
We are aware of the allegations that have been made against the CEO/Owner of TSM. As the operator of the league, we have retained the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP to launch an independent investigation into the allegations of abusive behavior against the head of the team […]

Doublelift voiced harsh criticism of Reginald.
“Passionate owner” or “schoolyard bully”?
What are these accusations? The accusations revolve centrally around the player and streamer “Doublelift”, who had said that Reginald was a “bully”, a kind of “schoolyard bully”, who repeatedly put his players down so much that they started to cry
Doublelift says: Reginald is like a schoolyard bully who gets away with being a bad guy because he’s so powerful that people are afraid to stand up to him.
Clips of various professionals from the past showing Reginald in action were cited as evidence (via Youtube).
However, players seen in these clips have already come to Reginald’s defense, saying he only ever wants the best for his team. He is a “passionate owner”.
These are new allegations: WIRED now says they have spoken to four people who experienced incidents in which Reginald “verbally abused” players and employees:
- For example, he allegedly called employees “stupid” and “worthless”.
- He also allegedly called them after work to yell at them.
- Sometimes Reginald would put people down for hours. His tirades would be triggered by even small mistakes.
- Reginald was also said to have yelled at employees in front of an assembled crew in order to “make an example.” He was said to have been proud of this. This is what a former employee of TSM said, according to Wired.
