Modern Warfare 2: Release – when will the new CoD be released?

When is the release of Modern Warfare 2? The release date has now been set. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022, which puts it in the exact same time frame as the last three main titles in the series. Modern Warfare (2019) was released on October 25, Black Ops Cold War on November 13, and CoD Vanguard on November 5.

Modern Warfare 2: Pre-order – these editions are available

When can you pre-order Modern Warfare 2? There is no official information on this yet. However, it shouldn’t take much longer. The first official trailer for the game is scheduled for June 8. So it’s not far-fetched to assume that the pre-sale for Modern Warfare 2 will also start then.

What editions are there? There is only one leak about this so far. This one says that fans can pre-order one of three editions of Modern Warfare 2: Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Edition and Vault Edition. The exact contents of the respective editions are also not yet known. However, the Vault Edition is supposed to be the most extensive and, according to the leak, will include the following bonuses:

• Battle Pass including 50 Tier Skips (level jumps)

How much does Modern Warfare 2 cost? The prices have not been announced yet. However, based on the prices of CoD Vanguard, the base game should cost €70 for the old consoles, €80 for PS5 and Xbox Series X, and €60 for PC. Modern Warfare 2: Trailer – when will there be first footage of CoD 2022?

Then comes the first trailer for Modern Warfare 2: The official reveal trailer of Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for June 8, 2022. Fans could already get this information from insier*s. Among others, TheGhostofHope and RalphsValve were already talking about June 8 in advance. The first reveal of the game then gave certainty in this regard.

Usually, official news about Call of Duty is released around evening in our time zone. Thus, the logo of Modern Warfare 2 was also posted for the first time at 19:05. Modern Warfare 2: Platforms – is the game coming only to PS5 and Xbox Series?

For which platforms will Modern Warfare 2 be released? There is also no concrete information yet on the platforms on which Modern Warfare 2 will be released. What is certain is that the new Call of Duty should appear on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC will also receive a version.

Whether PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be served with Modern Warfare 2 is unclear so far. Modern Warfare 2: Gameplay – everything about the multiplayer of CoD 2022

This is how the gameplay feels: The first announcement about the “Call of Duty” account for Modern Warfare 2 on Twitter says: “The new era of Call of Duty is coming“. Even before the release, the financial report of the first quarter of 2022 said: “This year’s Call of Duty is a successor to Modern Warfare (2019). […] and will be the most advanced Call of Duty ever.“

What exactly is meant by this has not yet been announced. However, there are already some rumors regarding the gameplay of Modern Warfare 2. However, insider RalphsValve announced via Twitter that a source from Infinity Ward compared the gameplay to its predecessor. So, all in all, Modern Warfare 2 should play similarly to Modern Warfare.

According to leaks, this is what’s in the multiplayer: Insiders TheGhostOfHope, RalphsValve and TheMW2Ghost have shared information about Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer on Twitter several times. These are leaks, so enjoy the information with caution. None of the information is set in stone. Here is a list of all the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer features that have been leaked so far.

• Movement speed is faster than in Modern Warfare but slower than in Vanguard.
• Combat pacing returns (Classic and Blitz)
• Killstreaks: UAV, Turret, Chopper Gunner and Soundwave (EMP for Audio)
• Classic minimap might return
• 4 Perks instead of 3 (in the first slot you choose two and the first one rather determines your playstyle)
• Dolphindive (pike) will be included together with the slide
• Roze returns as operator
• No sprint-to-fire time (you can supposedly shoot in sprint).
• Last Stand as field upgrade in game
• New game mode called “DMZ

This is the new game mode called “DMZ”: The new game mode of Modern Warfare 2 is only known through leaks so far. It is supposed to come into the game instead of Spec Ops and is most reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov. This means that you spawn in an area from which you have to escape. On the way to your destination, you’ll be able to collect equipment to improve your chances of escaping. In total, DMZ in Modern Warfare 2 will contain four maps and will tie in with the storyline of the campaign.

Modern Warfare 2: Weapons – everything about the arsenal of CoD 2022

These weapons are available in Modern Warfare 2: Not too much is known yet about the weapons in Modern Warfare 2. However, TheGhostOfHope wrote on Twitter that the ACR (assault rifle) and Intervention (sniper rifle) would be returning. Both weapons have enjoyed extreme popularity among fans since the old Modern Warfare 2 and now have icon status.

In addition, the weapon forge is to be reset in Modern Warfare 2. According to TheGhostOfHope, it will then only be possible for you to screw five attachments onto a weapon at the same time. Thus, Modern Warfare 2 would directly follow in the footsteps of its predecessor.

Modern Warfare 2: Maps – all locations of CoD 2022

These are the maps in Modern Warfare 2: Exact maps are not yet known. However, there are also some leaks about the maps from the insiders already mentioned. For the sake of simplicity, we’ll summarize the leaks here.
