In the course of the current business figures, Activision Blizzard named the first official details about this year’s offshoot of the “Call of Duty” series. Besides the release date, the company confirmed a single player and unsurprisingly a multiplayer as well.

Activision Blizzard was also among the companies that this week presented the annual report for the quarter ending June 30, 2021. Among other things, the publisher talked about the new “Call of Duty”, which is currently in the works at the “Call of Duty: WW2” makers of Sledgehammer Games.
The people responsible at Activision Blizzard have not yet revealed a concrete name, but unsurprisingly confirmed that the new “Call of Duty” will be released in the fourth quarter of 2021. Furthermore, the annual report talks about a new premium experience that will feature an “incredible amount of content,” an exciting setting, and long-term support.
Single player, multiplayer and co-op
“From a setting that players will love to an incredible amount of content in development, including an extensive live-ops schedule, we expect this release to be incredibly well received,” Activision Blizzard elaborated regarding the next “Call of Duty” chapter, confirming a single-player campaign, multiplayer, and co-op mode.

On the subject: Call of Duty Vanguard: Official unveiling in August?
“In addition to bringing a great seamless experience to current and next-gen console players, we are focused on further integrating Warzone and strengthening our direct relationship with our player base for even deeper content integration between premium and free experiences and significant innovation within Warzone itself. Our teams can’t wait to reveal what they’ve been working on.”
Unfortunately, the Californian publisher did not reveal when we can expect the official presentation of this year’s “Call of Duty” adventure, which will probably once again take us to the fronts of World War II.
