Santa Monica, California – Activision is launching the next installment in the Call of Duty series this year. It will be called Call of Duty Vanguard and will be set in World War II. Apart from that, not much is known about the latest installment of one of the most successful shooter franchises. Fans are already waiting impatiently for the new part of the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is now a year old and slowly fans are thirsting for new fodder. Vanguard won’t be released right away, after all, – Season 5 in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War is just underway. But the time is definitely ripe for an announcement to heat up the anticipation of the fans.

On August 19, the Reveal took place at 19:30 German time in Warzone. So if you wanted to be there live, it was best to rush to Verdansk in a helicopter. The setting was already known from leaks. CoD Vanguard will take fans back to the Second World War.

Vanguard: Release – When will the new Call of Duty be released?

With the Reveal, the release was also announced. On 05 November 2021, Call of Duty Vanguard is scheduled to appear on the market. Tom Henderson, who had repeatedly proven to be a reliable source, shared information from the Twitter account ModernWarzone in advance. On this account, news about Call of Duty, Battlefield and other big shooters are posted again and again, including the release of Vanguard.

So those who followed the leakers could already guess in advance when Vanguard would celebrate its release. The release of Vanguard is just a few weeks before that of Battlefield 2042, which is likely to be the shooter’s biggest competition this year. – Season 1 of Vanguard and Warzone is scheduled to start on December 2.

Vanguard: Multiplayer – What’s new in the next Call of Duty?

Vanguard’s multiplayer will include the usual classics. Fast action on small maps in the various modes – including Kill Confirmed, Domination or Team Deathmatch. With a bunch of weapons, perks and gadgets, fans’ hearts should beat faster.

However, there are also some innovations in multiplayer in Vanguard. For example, the Gunsmith feature from Modern Warfare returns. In Vanguard, however, you have more customization options. There will also be destructible elements on the maps for the first time, which will open up new lines of sight or paths. There are also so-called Combat Pacings in Vanguard, which are filters. Among other things, they decide how many players take part in a match. Here is an overview of the possibilities.

• Standard: Here you can expect the classic 6v6, which you know from Call of Duty.
• Blitz: It gets more hectic. In Blitz, up to 24v24 players can compete at the same time. Those who want non-stop action and pure chaos will surely have fun here.
• Tactical: The contrast program to Blitz. Things are much calmer here, because here every bullet counts. Increased damage requires more tactics – this mode comes very close to Hardcore.

Vanguard: Pre-order – What editions are available for the new Call of Duty and how much do they cost?

As usual, there are different versions of Call of Duty Vanguard that fans can pre-order. There are three editions in total, all of which offer different benefits and are priced differently accordingly. There is the Standard Edition, the Cross-Gen Bundle and the Ultimate Edition. The console versions of Vanguard are also available as single discs.

The Standard Edition contains the game in the last-gen version, for example for PS4. This is of course also playable on the PS5 with backwards compatibility. However, it is not(!) a PS5 version of the game. In addition, fans get a weapon build plan, the Frontline weapon pack, and early access to the beta on the respective platform. The Cross-Gen Bundle includes the version for next-gen, for example the PS5. In addition, fans get a boost here for 5 hours of double weapon ep.

Those who want to pre-order the next-gen version of the game must at least buy the Cross-Gen Bundle. The Ultimate Edition also includes a boost for 5 hours of double XP, the Special Command 1 pack, and a Battle Pass bundle. Vanguard: Campaign – What is the new Call of Duty about?

Vanguard’s campaign is set in World War II. Already at the beginning of the year there were some insiders who predicted this setting for the new Call of Duty, including Tom Henderson. It was the latter who told that the campaign would be about four characters based on real war heroes from World War II.

The four characters in Vanguard are soldiers from different parts of the world who fought on different fronts. As a player:in you will experience the emergence of military special forces in World War II. In multiplayer, there will be some of them as operators.

Vanguard: Maps – What maps are in the new Call of Duty?

Call of Duty Vanguard will include a total of 20 multiplayer maps at launch. This makes Activision’s new shooter the most comprehensive in the last 10 years. In comparison, Black Ops Cold War only contained 8 multiplayer maps at release. However, it has to be said that four of the maps in Vanguard are designed for the smaller Champion Hill mode.

Vanguard: Zombies – What awaits you in the fight against the undead?

As befits the “Call of Duty” series, Vanguard also includes a zombie mode. And as usual for a Call of Duty set in World War II, you’ll be slashing Nazi zombies. The well-known studio Treyarch was in charge of the zombie mode.

Those who liked the story about the undead in Black Ops Cold war can look forward to a prologue to this in Vanguard. Nothing has changed in the gameplay of the zombie mode. Traditionally, you try to survive against the undead in co-op mode for as long as possible.
