Rating Prediction FC Schalke 04 Terodde, Latza, Zalazar and Co.

The 2nd Bundesliga is in full swing! We are happy and take a look at FC Schalke 04 in 22. What ratings do the players of the Königsblauen get? And are they maybe even the perfect career mode team?

Hardly anyone would have expected the relegation to the 2nd . From a sporting and financial point of view, these are damn dark times for the club from the Ruhr area. Nevertheless it’s extremely interesting to see how the squad is built this year and how strong it will be in FIFA 22. After all, we’re all looking for the perfect career mode team every year.

FIFA 22: The ratings of the Schalke players
Of course there is no ultimate formula to predict the ratings of each player – otherwise we wouldn’t be sitting here. We try to summarize our experience from the countless FIFA parts and our insane soccer knowledge to make a prediction. Let’s go!

Ralf Fährmann Rating FIFA 22
Ralf Fährmann | Strength FIFA 21: 77 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 75 OVR

We all know that the – Season was miserable for almost all Schalke players. Fährmann had unfortunate games, of course. Nevertheless, he cannot be blamed the most. “Ralle” has always dug in, also had strong reflexes in his game despite high defeats.

All in all, it was still too little, injuries also set him back. We think that with a 75 it will stay with a gold card.

Thomas Ouwejan Rating FIFA 22
Thomas Ouwejan | Strength FIFA 21: 73 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 71 OVR

Will Ouwejan-Terrode be the new dream duo at Schalke? The first games of the current – Season point to it. The Dutchman shines with his fine left foot and good standards. The question you ask yourself as a Schalke fan now: How good was Ouwejan at Udinese Calcio?

The 24-year-old had to miss a few games due to injury, coming to a total of only 400 minutes of action. For the Serie A that was simply too little, a step back was the logical step for him. In FIFA 22 he should get a downgrade to 71.

Marcin Kaminski Rating FIFA 22
Marcin Kaminski | Strength FIFA 21: 70 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 68 OVR

Despite the downgrade a good transfer of Rouven Schröder. The central of the Schalker he does already very good, came in all games so far to a pass accuracy of over 90 percent. What’s the catch with Kaminski?

Clearly. The past – Season s, where he got very little playing time also due to injuries. The last time he played consistently for Stuttgart was in the 18/19 – Season , so the Pole simply lacks playing rhythm. It will be interesting to see how he does in Gelsenkirchen. In FIFA 22 it should be a 68.

Malick Thiaw Rating FIFA 22
Malick Thiaw | Strength FIFA 21: 62 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 65 OVR

An upgrade! The young central defender has developed very strongly with the Schalkers, not without reason Stefan Kuntz nominated him for the U21 European Championship. He was anything but the reason for the Königsblauen crash. At 20 years old, he can’t be expected to save the sinking ship. That’s why we even expect a silver card.

And don’t forget: Thiaw is perfectly suited for the career mode. He is young, ambitious and definitely has potential. So a must in the central defense!

Timo Becker Rating FIFA 22
Timo Becker | Strength FIFA 21: 63 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 61 OVR

Neither up nor down. It has to be said quite clearly that Becker’s deficits in playing with the ball were more than apparent. Especially when he helped out on the right-back position, the offensive play of the Schalkers was totally slowed down.

Even with him, however, one must not forget that he is extremely inexperienced and was thrown in at the deep end last – Season . In some moments, his qualities were recognizable, but all in all, he also seemed quite overwhelmed in the shaky defense.

Victor Pálsson Rating FIFA 22
Victor Pálsson | Strength FIFA 21: 72 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 73 OVR

The next experienced newcomer. Maybe too much experience? Or with all the youth players just the right mix? The minds are divided here. But in this case I have to say: Hats off to Rouven Schröder.

Pálsson was able to record a whole 23 second division games, in which he even managed 5 scorer points. Don’t forget, he feels at home in central defensive midfield. He has also played for Iceland, playing 89 minutes against Germany. If this man doesn’t bring stability to the VELTINS Arena, who will? Upgrade to 73!

Dominick Drexler Rating FIFA 22
Dominick Drexler | Strength FIFA 21: 73 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 73 OVR

For me this transfer is smiled at too much. Also in him I see an absolute reinforcement for Schalke. Drexler can be used flexibly, has pace, radiates goal threat and, in addition to a fighting spirit, also brings the necessary experience to propel the Königsblauen back into League 1.

Not without reason, the midfielder played a lot in Cologne, putting 5 scorer points on paper. Of course, the outstanding performances were missing for an upgrade, but still it should remain at a 73 rating.

Rodrigo Zalazar Rating FIFA 22
Rodrigo Zalazar | Strength FIFA 21: 61 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 65 OVR

Is he the crucial building block in the offensive game? His second league – Season at St. Pauli was certainly convincing. 34 games, 6 goals and 6 assists are impressive, but before that he was hardly convincing in Poland.

The Uruguayan is a kind of wonder bag, if he uses his good understanding of the game and his fine technique well, he can give Grammozis the decisive tick to perfectly combine midfield and attack. At 22 years old, he can even enrich the Schalker team in career mode.

Danny Latza Rating FIFA 22
Danny Latza | Strength FIFA 21: 74 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 75 OVR

He was supposed to be the new captain of the team, the leader. Then came the shock: on the very first day of play, Danny Latza had to leave the pitch after 32 minutes due to injury. Diagnosis: ligament injury. Latza is therefore absent until further notice.

And this after he played a strong second half of the – Season for Mainz and wanted to climb the ladder again with his hometown club. Really extremely bitter. Since the ratings are based on last – Season , we trust him to upgrade to 75. But here I have to say that players like Latza, Pálsson or Kaminski are anything but suitable for the career mode.

Reinhold Ranftl Rating FIFA 22
Reinhold Ranftl | Strength FIFA 21: 72 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 73 OVR

Ranftl played 4000 (!) minutes in Austria and even made it into the national team. The Austrian is perfect in the 3-man chain with wing-backs. How it will run in the 4er chain…. let’s see. Currently, everything seems possible.

Unfortunately, he is also already 29 years old, will be anything but outstanding in FIFA. I’m even more excited to see how he will do at Schalke.

Marius Bülter Rating FIFA 22
Marius Bülter | Strength FIFA 21: 73 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 71 OVR

Bülter was allowed to sniff the air in Köpenick last – Season . Unsuccessfully. He only scored one goal, international level was absolutely not recognizable. Under Grammozis he often plays in the double striker with Simon Terrode, maybe he will score more often then. But for FIFA 22 it means: Downgrade and no top candidate for the career mode.

Darko Churlinov Rating FIFA 22
Darko Churlinov | Strength FIFA 21: 64 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 64 OVR

An interesting and especially young newcomer for FC Schalke 04. The winger Churlinov got few playing minutes in Stuttgart, showed solid performances in Cologne before. However, in the Regionalliga West.

Nevertheless, the Macedonian is an international player and can positively influence the Schalke game with his technically strong skills. In FIFA 22, he is optimal for the career mode, but will need some time to be playable with a 64.

Simon Terrode Rating FIFA 22
Simon Terodde | Strength FIFA 21: 74 OVR | Estimated Strength FIFA 22: 75 OVR

If we’re being honest here: He is the hope par excellence for all Schalke fans. Because he can play in the 2nd league, as he proved last – Season with 24 league goals. Already his attitude is 100 percent right but will it be enough to enchant the Nordkurve at the end of the – Season ? And does EA begrudge him the upgrade to 75? After such a strong – Season , it actually has to be the case. We are curious.

Aydin, Flick & Co.: The talents of FC Schalke 04
When we talk about Schalke’s squad and the career mode, we naturally have to mention the talents. Calhanoglu was already allowed to tackle the left side in League 1. But that he will prevail against Ouwejan is unlikely. For the career mode, however, you can give him playing time. It is the same with Flick, he also had really good games, can do the central midfield good.

Mikhaylov or Bozdogan aka Erdogan are other ambitious midfielders who will get playing time at Schalke. How that then combines with Pálsson and Co. will be very interesting. But our advice for the career mode in FIFA 22 is: Use these players, see how their potential is, and maybe one or the other will make an impact like Grammozis hopes for in the 2nd Bundesliga.
