BIOGRAPHY

REAL NAME
Marius Streicher

DATE OF BIRTH
March 9 (Age: 39)

PLACE OF BIRTH
Dusseldorf, Germany

BACKGROUND

“Birthdays. marriage proposals. These are occasions for surprises. But no one needs a grenade under their nose.”

Streicher was raised by his uncle, a mechanic with the Federal Police Air Squadron (BPOL). Ever since he was a child, he has always been involved with turbines and motors. While he showed an early talent for all things mechanical, it didn’t offer the challenge he was looking for. Because of his fondness for complex machines, his uncle encouraged him to study aeronautical engineering at university, but he didn’t particularly like the strict academic approach. Streicher’s grades were acceptable, but there was a certain restlessness in him. Flying was his hobby and his great passion. He spent a lot of time among pilots and with airplanes. Although private companies expressed great interest in him, Streicher eventually joined BPOL’s flying squadron, because it had more to offer him at the end of the day: unique challenges and the opportunity to fly while serving his country. Almost immediately, he began developing defensive weapon systems for the BPOL – including a prototype ground-based active defense system (AVS). This prototype eventually caught the attention of the GSG 9 and Rainbow.

PSYCHOLOGICAL REPORT

Specialist Marius “Jäger” Streicher possesses a creative curiosity that is reflected both during his operations and in his daily life. In the first part of our conversation, we first talked about a documentary he had seen the night before. It was about scientists who were looking for new antibiotics. Streicher was so fascinated by the subject that he forwarded the relevant link to Special Operations Forces Gustave “Doc” Kateb, Emmanuelle “Twitch” Pichon and Lera “Finka” Melnikova. I’m sure they were also very interested, although not exactly thrilled to be disturbed so early in the morning.

That was just the beginning of our conversation. Streicher told me about a whole series of documentaries that he also found fascinating: the new NASA research satellite that is supposed to study the sun, new findings on the Tyrannosaurus Rex … basically he is interested in everything that has his almost insatiable thirst for knowledge fed with more information. While robotics and AI seem to be his favorite topics, he also shows a keen interest in almost everything else.

Streicher’s lively energy made for a breathtaking meeting. Despite all the unpredictability, our conversation always had a linchpin. I have to admit that I didn’t realize this until I noticed how often he mentions the team: he wondered if so-and-so got better after the death of his dog, if someone else got his congratulatory card, and so on. Streicher likes to share information with other people to make connections. And not just with individuals, but with a whole network of connections between all those involved.

His own childhood was not exactly characterized by liveliness and warmth. Since his family was very small, he had little contact with his peers. He told me that his uncle was a pedant – extremely picky. He appreciates his uncle and everything he taught him. He even goes so far as to claim that his uncle made him a better person. But Streicher also mentioned that his uncle was aloof and had no sense of humor. I think his words were “morose bean counter”. With that in mind, it’s easier to understand why Streicher is so keen on forging connections with his team. To him, they are like his family. This, of course, also explains why he behaves as a protector towards them, both during operations and in their free time.

Wolfguard is designated as the world’s leading humanitarian military unit and is known for its compassionate and prudent approach. It excels in high-visibility operations that take place in close proximity to civilians and where collateral damage must be avoided at all costs. Most of its members are trained in field medicine and specialized in some type of protection.

Special operations officer Gustave “Doc” Kateb leads this squad. He is on good terms with his subordinates and has an impeccable image with governments and the press. Although he and the rest of the Wolfguard were brought together to use their skills in delicate missions for the good of all, their popularity cannot be overlooked. It will always play a role in their missions.
