The Lootboxes appear this week in the PC version of Rainbow Six Siege and will be released in a staggered manner for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft has published a Q&A in which the Lootboxes are presented in more detail.

The next Operation Health update for Rainbow Six Siege is in the starting blocks and will published today.

Patch 2.2.1.1 is released this afternoon for all platforms. For this reason, Ubisoft has staggered Maintenance work announced. Let’s go to

  • Playstation 4 from 3 – 4 pm
  • Xbox One from 4 – 5 pm
  • PC from 5 – 6 pm

Ubisoft has the Update rhythm adjusted and now plans to release not two updates in Operation Health, but several small patches.

Hibana is revised

In it the developers revise the X-Kairos bullets from Hibana, which in some cases did not work properly. The spacing of the projectiles was not correct when they hit in the middle of two washes and therefore could not be not properly ignited be ignited.

An exploit has previously made it possible to shoot down one charge, detonate it, and immediately send the second one after it, which then exploded at the same time as the first charge. This exploit should now be a thing of the past.

However, the developers note that the rework of Hibana’s X-Kairos is still “work in progress” and might change again with the next patch.

The Lootboxes are here

With today’s update appear the Alpha Packs, which are also available after matches with cosmetic upgrades reward. This also includes skins, such as those from the Black Ice – Season , which were not available to everyone. For the lootboxes, however, Ubisoft is also planning legendary itemswhich are only available through the Alpha Packs.

The packs are published staggered, to ensure a smooth process. At the launch of the Lootboxes, each player will receive an Alpha Pack. In the meantime, Ubisoft has a Q&A published, in which the Lootboxes explained in more detail will be.

 

In the Alpha Packs there are cosmetic upgrades for the operators.

Channel is adjusted again

The spawn point on the map Kanal was already adjusted with the last patch and will now be changed again. Based on user feedback, the cover in the tower has been removed again. In return the developers have new objects in front of the spawn placed.

In addition, the attackers now start a little further back and will be shielded by a staircase before moving towards the building. On the map Coastline, the developers have reworked some walls that could not be blown up properly.

The latest update for Operation Health has significantly upgraded the shooter’s gameplay and made it made fit for the future. A sequel is according to Ubisoft not planned. For this gets Victories but Competition: Ready Or Not wants to focus on more realism.
