Shortly before tomorrow’s release of ‘Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Blood Orchid’, Ubisoft has once again summarized all the details about the latest DLC update today. As usual, all – Season Pass owners will have access to the three new operators and their special weapon skins. All other players will be able to unlock the new content starting September 12 with Renown and R6 Credits. The new theme park map will be available to all players for free.
Theme park map and two new SDU operators
Players will attack an abandoned amusement park in Operation Blood Orchid, which has been identified by the Special Duties Unit (SDU) – also known as Flying Tigers – as the drug lab of a criminal organization. After liaising with the Hong Kong Triads, Flying Tigers are chosen to lead the deadly attack on the amusement park. Theme Park is a colorful and diverse map, rich in dynamic and fast-paced confrontations.
- Ying: Siu Mei Lin is an operator who is fit for all missions. After a few operations, she decided to join Team Rainbow to represent Hong Kong’s Flying Tigers Unit. As her primary weapon, Ying uses a T-95 LSW and a SIX12 shotgun, and she knows how to intervene in densely populated areas with non-lethal weapons. Her Candela deviceis a new type of stun grenade: once deployed, it releases stun charges that can be attached to surfaces. It can also be thrown as a grenade or rolled across the ground.
- Lesion: Liu Tze Long takes his work very seriously and really thrives in risky situations. He demonstrates a natural composure while working with highly corrosive substances and is an expert in mine disposal. Lesion is equipped with a silenced SIX12 SD and a T-5 SMG and can bring any situation under control with his Gu mines. Once attackers attack these mines, they are injected with a poison that causes high instant damage and then gradually inflicts further damage. The affected players will be slowed down until they remove the poison dart. There are only two Gu mines in the inventory at the beginning, and their number increases by one every 35 seconds until a maximum of seven mines is reached.
The new Polish GROM operator Ela Bosak
- Ela: Ela Bosak is the latest addition to Team Rainbow and is among the youngest of the recruits. The 30-year-old is a member of the Polish military unit GROM and is equipped with a Scorpion EVO 3AI SMG and the F0-12 shotgun as her primary weapons. Ela also owns an RG15 pistol with illuminated dot sights, the first pistol in the game to feature such a sight. She is known for her determination and bravery in combat. The Grzmot limpet mines are proximity and concussion mines that degrade the movement speed, aiming and vision of anyone within their effective radius. One of Ela’s trademarks is that she can detonate one last of her concussion mines if she becomes incapacitated.
To conclude Operation Health, the upcoming Operation Blood Orchid is the biggest update ever released for Rainbow Six Siege, with many fixes and improvements for the game. These include the optimized lighting system, operator data cleansing, improved stability, shortened load times, and lower memory requirements. In addition, new and improved servers will go live at the start of – Season 3, ensuring better stability, connectivity, and performance.
