Three of PSG.LGD’s legendary players are making a comeback to Dota 2’s competitive scene. Lu “Somnus” Yao, Yang “Chalice” Shenyi, and Xu “fy” Linsen are joining forces once again to form the new Azure Ray roster. They will take over YBB Gaming’s slot in Division 1 of the Chinese Dota Pro Circuit and compete in Tour 3 with hopes of qualifying for the Bali Major.
The Azure Ray team made the announcement, saying: “We were touched by the Berlin Major, and we will ‘Make CNDOTA great again.’ We know people are excited, but we hope that everybody can be patient, and give the players their support, time, and trust.”
Somnus, Chalice, and fy were part of PSG.LGD’s most dominant era in 2018 to 2019. Reports suggest that they are playing without a salary, purely out of their love for the game. It’s heartening to see such passion and dedication from the players, and fans are eagerly anticipating their return to the scene.
While the trio of legendary players is the highlight of the new team, the other members of the roster are equally impressive. Lou “Lou” Zhen is a standout young carry from China who has played for Ybb Gaming and Xtreme Gaming. Jiang “天命” An is a seasoned support player who has previously played for EHOME, Keen Gaming, and Team Aster. LaNm, the veteran of the game, who has been around since the beginning, is one of the best and most sought-after coaches in China.
As for the rest of the former PSG.LGD squad, Wang “Ame” Chunyu remains inactive under the PSG.LGD banner, while Yap “xNova” Jian Wei is playing for BOOM Esports.
