Update from 17 January 2022 (23:00): In the evening, the indications thickened, according to which a renewed PS5 pre-order campaign will go over tomorrow, Tuesday, in the stores of MediaMarkt* and Saturn*. should.

We formulate this deliberately cautiously, because actions of this kind are never announced or even advertised, and so far there is no certified evidence from the stores. In addition, there is at best retroactive official confirmation from the respective corporate headquarters.

The offer is to is identical at MediaMarkt and Saturn: For 639,99 € should it a PlayStation 5 with drive plus game of choice (FIFA 22 or Call of Duty Vanguard) plus additional controller in Cosmic Red – of course only while stocks last. The down payment is usually 100 € – the collection is supposed to be then be possible from February 5, 2022.

As with previous pre-order campaigns, we do not keep lists of participating markets on GamesWirtschaft, because experience shows that the situation on site can change within minutes. Instead, we list those markets from Tuesday morning hours where it is possible to pre-order the game. no consoles anymore – simply to save you unnecessary trips. A reservation by phone is not possible; furthermore the hotline knows not the stocks on site.

Update as of January 17, 2022 (3:45 p.m.): Unfortunately, we have received further feedback from Von Floerke customers this afternoon, some of whom had hoped for the delivery of the console for several months and have now been asked to initiate the crediting of the invoice amount to the credit card account in consultation with the house bank.

In total, five customers have contacted us since the beginning of the year and have received the PlayStation 5.

Update as of January 17, 2022 (1:30 p.m.): VF Medical Products GmbH (previously: Von Floerke GmbH) has written to several customers this morning, stating that the PS5 purchase amount will be credited to the credit card account. This also affects PS5 buyers who had explicitly opted for delivery at the beginning of December. The refund can therefore take up to 14 days.

Individual customers were also advised by the company to contact their bank or credit card company immediately and initiate a so-called “chargeback procedure”. A similar procedure was already in place at the end of last year, when orders via Klarna (buyer protection) and Amazon Pay (A-Z guarantee) were reversed.

Information on further shipping announcements is not available at this time.

Update as of January 17, 2022 (11:45 AM): Where would we be without the tips of our readers? From Cologne-Hürth, we hear that the last PS5 console in stock for the time being was handed out at the Conrad* branch there a few minutes ago. In Berlin (Hasenheide branch), the PS5 level was last in the single digits – in this respect, the sell-out should also have taken place there in the meantime. Update as of January 17, 2022 (10:15 a.m.): Apparently, the PS5 sales campaign in Conrad* stores is not over yet. We have received reports from Berlin (Hasenheide) and from Hürth near Cologne that consoles are still in stock there. However, the situation can change by the minute, especially since the branches only receive small quantities.

Message from January 17, 2022 (8:40 a.m.): The most important message to start the week right up front: Amazon has – as expected – a new PS5 bundle in the assortment*, including the PS5 blockbuster Horizon: Forbidden West. The action-adventure will be released on February 18 – which suggests that the package won’t ship for a little over a month.

It’s not yet clear whether this is a hand-crafted ‘soft bundle’, where Amazon is simply adding the game to the console shipment on its own – or whether Sony Interactive is looking for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart the second ‘official’ PlayStation 5 bundle.

The price has also not yet been deposited; we expect 570 to 580 euros.

In any case, you should use the Horizon 2-bundle to your Amazon watchlist* already now (button “Add to list”). The same applies to the ‘naked consoles’ (if not already done):

It is overwhelmingly likely that you will need a Prime subscription for the PS5 purchase – this requirement is now standard across Europe at Amazon. Tip: Students and trainees currently pay nothing for Prime Student* in the first six months and then receive a 50 percent discount on the regular rate. The subscription can be cancelled at any time.

Apart from that, the gaps to the PS5 drops in December are now disturbingly large. Especially for the market leaders, it has been three to four weeks since the last consoles were offered and sold online. In the first two weeks of 2022, it was only possible to order the PlayStation 5 as part of a smaller Medimax promotion.

In stationary retail, the chances are therefore currently a bit better at the moment: On Friday, the PlayStation 5 was available in most of the 13 Conrad* stores – there are said to have been around 50 units per location. In the meantime, however, the stores in Bonn and Hamburg have also sold out. As always, this offline drop was not advertised by the retailer.

At Von Floerke (now: VF Medical Products GmbH), the self-imposed 30 business day period within which the outstanding consoles were supposed to be shipped ends this week. Last week, the management was confident that they would be able to complete the orders in the coming days. Currently, the counter still stands at five confirmed deliveries – no further feedback was received over the weekend.
