THOSE: NIANTIC

The makers of Pokémon Go have activated the Go Battle League and by now it should be possible for players level 30 and above to participate in ranked battles. Via the new feature, another 5th generation pocket monster has made it into the game: Zurrokex and with it its evolution Irokex. What do you have to do to get a Zurrokex?

The developers at Niantic are gradually unlocking the Go Battle League in Pokémon Go, through which you can compete with trainers from around the world and their teams. On January 29, mainly level 40 players were able to start the Go Battle League, then on January 30, 2020, players from level 30 to 40 joined. In the meantime, the makers of the popular AR game have stopped the rollout of the new feature to ensure stability. At the same time, they closed the league to apply bug fixes. However, around 03:00 on January 31, the developers tweeted that access to the Go Battle League has been restored. So it can be assumed that on January 31, 2020, at least the trainers from level 20 to 30 will also get access to the Go Fight League.

PoGO – Pokémon GO: Zurrokex in the game - how to get the Gen-5 monNow that we’ve cleared that up, let’s get to the real topic of this news, because the folks at Niantic have decided to bring a 5th generation Pokémon to the Go Battle League: Zurrokex and, with it, its evolution Irokex. Accordingly, the pocket monster is currently only available through participation in the Go Battle League, i.e. for players level 30 and above. Everyone else still has to show a bit of patience, so keep an eye on the English-language Twitter account for Pokémon Go so that you know when you can take part.

All those who are already competing in the Pokémon Go leaderboard, on the other hand, can grab Zurrokex by simply playing in the Go Battle League. Start the Battle League from the Battles menu button, which has now appeared in the top right of the Pokédex. When you join a league, until February 10, 2020 at 9:59 p.m. the Super League will be active, you can just start fighting the first time (after five battles contested, you’ll first have to walk five kilometers, at least two kilometers for the Pokécoin shortcut, to compete five times again). You can fight your way through a total of ten ranks, and you’ll be rewarded with a Pokémon encounter after reaching a new rank. The rarity of each Pokémon increases with higher rank.

If you reach Rank 4 after 15 wins, then Zurrokex is a guaranteed encounter, as the creators of Pokefans note in their database. So get into the Go Battle League, if you can already join, and grab the Unlight and Battle Pokémon!

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
