PoGO – Pokémon GO: Winter sale in PoGo – are Winterbox, Superbox, Hyperbox worth it?

Winter has also snowed into Pokémon Go and the developers at Niantic have put together three festive boxes for the Winter Sale, namely the Winter Box, the Super Box and the Hyperbox. Is it worth grabbing this time around? We’ll fill you in on the contents and let you know which of the offers are real bargains.

Once again, the developers of Pokémon Go have exchanged the contents of the boxes in the in-game store to boost a winter sale. Accordingly, the Special Box has been renamed Winter Box, and the Winter Box, Super Box, and Hyperbox have all been wrapped in festive wrapping paper. Don’t let that blind you, though, because of course the boxes aren’t free and they’re not free; you still have to put Pokécoins on the table. Accordingly, let’s take a look at whether the investment in the boxes is worth it – especially for whom!

Basically, it can already be said that the boxes offer good value for Poké money, especially the Winter Box for and the Hyperbox for those of you who want to shell out big bucks. However: even the Superbox can find its fans. Let’s take a look at what’s inside. We’ve indicated in the brackets behind the items how much the quantity has changed compared to the previous sale.

And there we can see: Niantic really didn’t skimp on Raid Passes and spawn machines this time. If you want to build up a little cushion in terms of Raid Passes and Super Incubators – there are still a few 4th generation baby Pokémon that aren’t in the game – you should strike now.

2 x Star Piece (+0)2 x Smoke (+2)10 x Lucky Egg (+10)

According to the authors of Pokémon Go Hub, the Superbox lags a bit behind the others, while both Winterbox and Hyperbox have rarely been this good. The Winter Box (formerly known as Special Box) is quite good if you don’t want to invest much, but still want to get a slice of the box’s bounty, since you save 120 coins just on the single purchase of Raid Passes and Egg Incubators.

The Super Box is indeed mainly for those who want to catch a lot of Pokémon in the wild because of the Smoke Lock Module combination. Four Super Spawners and five Premium Raid Passes are nothing to sneeze at either, saving you around 580 Pokécoins compared to buying them individually. However, the savings are of course higher with the Hyperbox, which also offers Star Pieces. And as you know, Star Pieces are interesting for those who want to teach their Mon a second charge attack in Trainer Battles. The lucky eggs are rather negligible in the offer, 14 raid passes and 12 super spawns also make the box attractive. You’ll save more than 2,000 Pokécoins on these two components alone.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
