PoGO – Pokémon Go: The Feeling of Triumph – Victini Special Research Guide

On September 30, 2020, the developers of Pokémon Go made the Victini special research available to all players – buyers of the Go Fest 2020 ticket already had the pleasure. What is already known about the steps and rewards of the Victini special research “The feeling of triumph”, you can learn in our guide.

The makers of Pokémon Go will unlock the special research “A Mysterious Energy” for all players at the end of September 2020 – so every trainer will then be able to grab the mysterious Pokémon Victini from the 5th generation. Importantly for Go Fest 2020 ticket buyers, they won’t receive another Victini as part of A Mysterious Energy if they receive or have already completed the “String Road to Victory” special research. Instead, they will receive Victini candies upon completion of the new Victini special research.

Original news from August 28, 2020: It is not yet known which steps you have to complete for A Mysterious Energy and what rewards you will receive – apart from an encounter with Victini and Victini candies. However, we are already creating a guide for you, which we will update when the Victini quest is unlocked. In addition, the experiences from the Jirachi and Celebi special researches already allow us to make some assumptions about what you need to do to complete the research.

For example, it is likely that A Mysterious Energy will involve seven to eight steps, some of which will be extremely different from the steps (and rewards) that were required for String Road to Victory. It’s also likely that you won’t get Victini as a reward encounter until the penultimate or final step – as Celebi for A Leap in Time showed up in the penultimate step (step 7 of 8), and Jirachi for A Thousand Year Sleep showed up in the final step (step 7 of 7). On top of that, keep in mind that the name for the special quest may also change. As soon as there is an update of the guide, we will of course note it here for you.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
