PoGO – Pokémon Go: Spotlight Weekend with Shiny Waumboll – your guide!

We remind you of an unusual event in Pokémon Go ^^ On March 26, 2022, which is Saturday, at 10:00 and until March 27, 2022 at 20:00, there will be an increased amount of Waumboll in parks (!) – namely for the spotlight weekend in Pokémon Go. Don’t miss out on Shiny Waumboll and Shiny Elfun!

The Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour, no one will deny, is an absolute success, unlike the Bonus Hour! That’s why this mini-event, which always takes place on Tuesdays between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., probably won’t be taken away from you so quickly by the Pokémon Go creators.

Rather, they now want to try something new, and not a general spotlight hour, at which the spawns of a particular Pokémon are increased everywhere, but a spotlight weekend, at which the spawns of a particular Pokémon are improved regionally very limited. In exchange, this event lasts much longer. You want to give this spotlight weekend a try? Good, because it’s just around the corner! Below you have all the important information in our Spotlight Weekend Guide!

Spotlight Weekend with Shiny Waumboll and Shiny Elfun

The Spotlight Weekend will be held as part of the Pokémon Go event Shadow Jungle, which already sees an increase in Plant Pokémon appearing in the wild.

  • However, from March 26, 2022 at 10:00 until March 27, 2022 at 20:00 Waumboll will increasingly appear in parks! Important: Parks are the dark green areas on the overworld map of Pokémon Go.
  • Waumboll can be caught by you with luck as a Shiny, and then of course evolve to Shiny Elfun, provided you have enough candies. This should not be a problem for diligent park visitors with a few Sanana Berries in their pockets.

That’s all the important information you’ll need, because unlike the classic Spotlight Hours that take place every week, there is no additional candy, stardust, or XP bonus active during the Spotlight Weekend. Remember that you can earn Berries through the Shadow Jungle Temporary Research as well as the Special Research One Akala Adventure if you still need some!

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
