PoGO – Pokémon Go: Snap Celebration Event – Limited Research Guide

The Snap Celebration Event has started in Pokémon Go and grants you the chance to win a Shiny Farbeagle for the duration of the celebration. With the Snap event there’s also a limited research and we have in the guide for you all the steps and rewards.

Update from April 29, 2021: The Snap Celebration Event for the release of New Pokémon Snap for the Switch has started and, in addition to event-exclusive research and Shiny Farbeagle, also brings a Limited Research into the game, which will earn you encounters with Onix, Sandan, Pionscora, and Perlu, among others. On top of that, it rains a not inconsiderable amount of XP when you complete all the steps. Too bad: You won’t get a Shiny Farbeagle via the Temporary Research rewards.

However, pretty much all of the steps revolve around taking snapshots of certain Pokémon, and since the spawn rate of Farbeagle is increased for the duration of the event, you should get enough chances to get a Shiny specimen. Keep in mind that Shiny Farbeagle will disappear for now after the event ends. Below are the steps and rewards of Temporary Research for the Snap Celebration Event. All other information about the event can be found below.

Original post from April 15, 2021: Want to grab a Shiny Farbeagle? Of course you want to grab a Shiny Farbeagle! It’s a good thing you’ll soon have the opportunity to do so in Pokémon Go, because because on April 30, 2021 for the New Pokémon Snap will be released for the Switch. The Snap event starts on April 29, 2021 at 10:00 am and ends on May 2, 2021 at 8:00 pm. As part of this, Pokémon from the Lentil region, such as Loturzel, Piccolente and Tuska, will appear in the wild. What’s interesting for you is that Farbeagle can “bomb” Snapshots more often and then, with luck, also appear as Shiny, which is usually not possible outside of the event.

In addition, you can look forward to Lentil Pokémon in the raids and an exclusive field research. Of course, there’s also a limited research for the Pokémon Go fans among you, which probably revolves around snapshots to a considerable extent. Details on the steps and rewards aren’t available yet, but we’ll add those as soon as they’re officially in the game. Here’s the information on the Snap event in Pokémon Go.

  • The Snap event in Pokémon Go will start on April 29, 2021 at 10:00 am and end on May 2, 2021 at 8:00 pm.
  • Pokémon from the deserts, jungles, and underwater landscapes of the Lentil region – such as Loturzel, Tuska, and Piccolente – will appear more frequently in the wild!
  • Color Agles appear more frequently in snapshots! If you’re lucky, you may even come across an Iridescent Coloragle! Note, however, that Color Agles only appear in snapshots a limited number of times, and that Iridescent Color Agles do not reappear after the event. However, you will have a chance to encounter one again in future events.
  • Pokémon from the Lentil region will appear more often in Raid battles – for example, Aquana, Meganie, and Knacklion!
  • Look forward to an exclusive Field Research and a Limited Research around Snapshots!
  • During the event, a camera for your avatar and a camera sticker for gifts will be available in the store! The new sticker will also be available from PokéStops.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
