The makers of Pokémon Go have announced that Mega-Rexblisar will become available in the Mega Raids, while Mega-Turtok, Mega-Dauboss, Mega-Hundemon, and Mega-Glurak Y will disappear from the crunchy group challenges for now. We have an up-to-date counter guide for Mega-Rexblisar in Pokémon Go for you!
There will be mega changes to Pokémon Go’s Mega Raids on December 1, 2020 at 10pm. Mega-Turtok, Mega-Dauboss, Mega-Hundemon and Mega-Glurak Y will disappear from the difficult (and solo not really well doable) Raid challenges, just like Mega-Bisaflor before. Instead, Mega-Rexblisar moves into the Mega-Raids and forms an interesting trio with Mega-Glurak X and Mega-Gengar.
We have already compiled a counter guide to Mega-Rexblisar in Pokémon Go for you, so that you can face this chilly experience with success. As usual with Mega Pokémon, defeating Mega Rexblisar will unlock the Pokémon’s Mega Evolution, but you’ll only catch the normal Rexblisar in the bonus challenge after a success over the Raid Boss.
Pokémon Go: Defeat Mega Rexblisar as a Raid Boss
Mega-Rexblisar is a Plant and Ice type Pokémon, so nothing changes at this point compared to a normal Rexblisar. Mega-Rexblisar has a hefty 44,824 CP when you encounter it as a Raid Boss, so it’s not quite as blatantly equipped as Mega-Gengar in that regard. Ice and plant are best fought with fire, as usual, so you’ll want to use fiery counters for the fight, such as Glurak and Dogemon’s Mega Evolutions. In snowy and sunny weather, Mega-Rexblisar will be boosted, then its possible plant attacks Razor Leaf (Instant) and Energy Ball (Charge) will do more damage (in the sun), but they still shouldn’t hurt your fire attackers much more. In snowy conditions, the Ice Attacks Powder Snow (Instant) and Blizzard (Charge) shouldn’t make you sweat much either.
We recommend the following counter-Pokémon for the fight against Mega-Rexblisar. However, we have left out Crypto Pokémon, since these pocket monsters are very expensive to level.
- Mega Glurak Y with Fire Whirl and Lohe Cannonade
- Mega Dogemon with Fire Fang and Flame Throw
- Mega Glurak X with Fire Whirl and Lohe Cannonade
- Reshiram with fire fang and heat rage
- Flampivian with Fire Tooth and Heat Sizzle
- Heatran with fire whirl and flame throw
- Entei with Fire Tooth and Heat Sizzle
- Skelabra with firewhirl and heatcooler
- Lavados with Firewhirl and Heatwhirl
- Lohgock with fire whirl and lohe cannonade
- Victini with jerking blow and v-generator
- Tornupto with incinerate and lohe cannonade
Pokémon Go: Catch Mega Rexblisar
As already mentioned, after a you will not catch Mega Rexblisar, but a normal Rexblisar. If you have successfully completed the battle against Mega Rexblisar, the freestyle follows after the duty and you have the chance to banish the pocket monster into your Pokéball. Then Rexblisar has 1,349 CP at level 20 with 100% IV values. If Rexblisar is boosted to level 25 in sunny weather or snow, it will have 1,687 CP at perfect 100% IV levels. We wish you good luck in your hunt!
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
