PoGO – Pokémon Go: Leekzelot and Galar Ponita are now here!

The makers of Pokémon Go have unleashed a mini- on players. For the release of The Snowlands of the Crown in Pokémon Sword & Shield, the folks at Niantic have brought the Galar evolution of Porenta and Galar Ponita into play. However, before you can evolve Leekcelot, you must first fulfill a condition.

Pokémon Go trainers who have already fully prepared for the 2020 Halloween event are waking up to a surprise today, as the developers at Niantic have launched a mini-event to coincide with the release of The Snowlands of the Crown in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The focus is on Galar Ponita on the one hand and on the evolution of Galar Porenta, Lauchzelot, on the other. This had already been hinted at the previous day. Galar Porenta will now appear en masse in the wilderness until October 24, 2020 at 02:00. In the raids, in turn, you can meet Galar Ponita.

However, in order to make Galar Leekcelot from Galar Porenta, you need to fulfill one condition. You must make Galar Porenta your buddy and then achieve ten fabulous casts when you catch Pokémon. At least: the number of fabulous casts achieved by a Galar Porenta will not be reset if you replace your Galar Porenta with another buddy. Speaking of which, Galar Porenta doesn’t have to be on the map for the fabulous rolls to count, so you don’t have to feed it before the rolls. After the event ends – and the 2020 Halloween event starts in Pokémon Go – you’ll still be able to hatch Galar Porenta and Galar Ponita from 7k eggs. Those of you who still want to dress their avatar appropriately for The Snowlands of the Crown will find free clothes to try on and love in the store, by the way. Below you will find a brief description of this mini-event:

  • The event for the release of The Snowlands of the Crown in Pokémon Sword and Shield will start on October 23, 2020 at 02:00 and end on October 24, 2020 at 02:00.
  • Galar Porenta will appear in the wild! Also, you can evolve Galar-Porenta into Galar-Lauchzelot! To evolve Galar-Porenta, you must land 10 fabulous rolls with him as your mate. The number of fabulous throws you’ve made so far won’t reset when you change your buddy Pokémon, so keep trying!
  • Galar-Ponita will appear in Raid battles! You can also evolve Galar-Ponita into Galar-Gallopa.
  • After the event ends, Galar-Ponita and Galar-Porenta will hatch from 7-km eggs, and you can evolve these Pokémon then as well.
  • New avatar items are available in the Style Shop that resemble the clothing worn by trainers in The Snowlands of the Crown! These items are free, so get them in the Style Shop now!

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
