So you have just under two weeks to catch the first of the four “Kapus”. Kapu-Riki is only one of the patron saints of the ALoLa region. So that you can better stand up to Kapu-Riki in battle, we have created a counter-guide for you. We wish you good luck in the hunt!
Kapu-Riki as Raid Boss
The legendary ALoLa mon of the type Electro and Fairy is extremely vulnerable to ground and poison attacks. For the 45,438 CP it has, you should team up with a few other players – two to three at the most. If you want to get a little more bang for your buck, hope for sunny weather for your ground attackers and overcast weather for your poison attackers, because then their attacks will naturally be boosted by the weather.
Keep in mind, however, that Kapu-Riki will also deal more in overcast weather, as long as his Charge Attack is of the Fairy type. Below are the most effective attackers for fighting Kapu-Riki.
- Mega Gengar with licker and mud bomb
- Mega Bibor with poison blow and mud bomb
- Crypto Mamutel with clay cuff and steamroller
- Stalobor with clay cuff and percussion drill
- Rihornior with clay clam and earthquake
- Demeteros (animal spirit form) with clay shot and earthquake
- Knackrack with clay shot and earthquake
- Crypto Mewtu with Confusion and Psychic Strike
- Groudon with clay shot and earthquake
- Crypto Nidoking with poison shot and earth forces
- Demeteros with clay shot and earth powers
- Gengar with licker and mud bomb
- Crypto Skuntank with poison shot and mud bomb
- Crypto Sleimok with poison blow and mud bomb
- Crypto Giflor with acid and mud bomb
- Roserade with poison blow and mud bomb
Pokémon Go: Catch Kapu-Riki
If you successfully bring Kapu-Riki to his knees, you can expect the usual Pokéball throw to be able to call the legendary ALoLa-Mon your own. Good luck with that! If you catch it, the following information is interesting for you: At level 20, Kapu-Riki has over 1810 CP at 100% IV values. If Kapu-Riki is boosted to level 25 on a rainy or overcast day, it will have 2263 CP at perfect 100% IV. We wish you a successful hunt!
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
