PoGO – Pokémon GO: How to defeat Raid Boss Panzaeron - solo and in a group
THOSE: POKEMONGOLIVE.COM

Pokémon GO fans can encounter the steel flying monster Panzaeron in the Tier 3 Raid. In the group, the Pokémon should not cause you any major problems, but with a lot of skill and the right counter team, you can also defeat it solo. We’ll show you how to do that.

If you are a trainer in Pokémon GO, you will often have the opportunity to catch the Pokémon Panzaeron in the Raid – although not in December 2018 for the time being. The pocket monster of the type Steel and Flight comes as a Tier 3 Raid Boss and has 13,859 CP. When you catch it, it can have a maximum of 2,108 CP, 148 attack, 226 defense, and 163 stamina.

In a raid battle, you’ll have an easier time against Panzaeron than against Pottrott or Lepumentas, but you should still go into battle with one or more teammates if possible – depending on how strong your Pokémon team is. If you want to defeat Panzaeron solo, you’ll have to prepare carefully and wait for optimal conditions to have a chance at success.

According to Go Hub, the best way to solo against Panzaeron is to use a team of level 40 Fire and/or Electric Pokémon in sunny or rainy weather. Panzaeron’s attacks, on the other hand, are enhanced by windy weather or snow.

Accordingly, the best counters against Panzaeron include:

  • Lavados (Fire/Flight Type) with Fire Whirl and Heat Fury – In neutral weather, Lavados gives you the best chance against Panzaeron because it delivers the highest damage output of all the countering Pokémon.
  • Zapdos (Electric/Flight Type) with Thunder Shock and Thunder Lightning – Zapdos takes the least amount of time to win in neutral weather.
  • Raikou (Electro type) with Thunder Shock and Surge.
  • Elektek (Electro Type) with Thunder Shock and Surge – Elektek provides the best combination of time and total DPS when fighting Panzaeron.
  • Entei (Fire Type) with Fire Whirl and Heat Fury – Compared to Lavados, Entei does less damage but can withstand a bit more.

Good raid counters against Panzaeron are also:

  • Flamara (Fire/Flight type) with Fire Whirl and Heat Fury.
  • Deoxys (type Psycho) with Charge Beam and Thunder Bolt
  • Glurak (Fire type) with Fire Whirl and Lohe Cannonade
  • Lohgock (type Fire/Combat) with Fire Whirl and Heat Fury
  • Luxtra (type electric) with spark jump and surge of electricity
  • Magbrant (Fire type) with Fire Whirl and Fire Storm

For weather boosts or in larger raid groups, you can alternatively still rely on the following counter Pokémon:

  • Tornupto (Fire type) with Embers and Lohe Cannonade.
  • Arkani (Type Fire) with Fire Fang and Flame Throw
  • Mewtu (Type Psycho) with Psycho Blade and Flame Throw or Thunderbolt (depending on the weather)
  • Blitza (type Electro) with Thunder Shock and Thunder Bolt
  • Brutalanda (type Dragon/Flight) with Fire Fang and Fire Storm
  • Panferno (type Fire/Combat) with Fire Whirl and Flame Throw

Panzaeron can choose from a pool of five different attacks in raid combat:

  • Steel Wing (Steel type) and Air Cut (Flight type) as normal attacks.
  • Sky sweep (type flight), swoop (type flight) and light cannon (type steel) as charging attacks

Therefore, when fighting Panzaeron, avoid using Pokémon of Plant, Battle, and Beetle types, or Normal, Rock, Unlight, Ice, and Steel types, which are sensitive to attacks of Flight and Steel types, respectively.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
