PoGO – Pokémon GO: How to defeat Raid Boss Impergator in your sleep (Guide)

Trainers can currently encounter the water Pokémon Impergator as a Tier 4 boss in raids in Pokémon GO. Because of its pure water type, the fight against the blue dinosaur is relatively straightforward. If you rely on Electric and Plant Pokémon, victory against Impergator is fairly quick. But to make sure you don’t get left out in the rain in the battle, we’ll tell you here in our guide which pocket monsters you should rely on for a sure victory.

With Impergator, trainers in Pokémon GO can currently expect the evolution of a starter Pokémon as a Tier 4 raid boss. Impergator comes in as a Water Pokémon with 27,740 boss CP and benefits from rainy weather: rain boosts Impergator’s Water attacks, though it also has more CP if you catch it in the rain (normal 1,554 CP at level 20, rain 1,943 CP at level 25).

If you want to defeat Impergator, you should fight at least in pairs, but according to Pokemongohub, three to four trainers are optimal. Impergator can attack in the raid with the following attacks:

– Waterfall (Water)

– Bite (Unlight)

– Hydro Pump (Water)

– Ice Beam (Ice)

– Crusher (Unlight)

As a counter to Impergator, the following Electric and Plant-type Pokémon are suitable because of its Water-only type:

– Raikou (Electro) with Thunder Shock (Electro) and Surge (Electro).

– Zapdos (Electro) with Thunder Shock (Electro) and Thunder Lightning (Electro)

– Blitza (Elektro) with Thunder Shock (Elektro) and Thunder Flash (Elektro)

– Voltenso (Electro) with Charge Beam (Electro) and Surge (Electro)

– Kokowei (Plant) with Sphere Seed (Plant) and Solar Beam (Plant)

– Bisaflor (Plant) with Spherical Seed (Plant) and Leaf Blade (Plant)

– Gewaldro (plant) with ball seed (plant) and leaf blade (plant)

– Sarzenia (plant) with Leaf Blade (plant) and Solar Ray (plant)

– Groudon (Ground) with Dragon Rod (Dragon) and Solar Ray (Plant)

Generally, you’ll fare best with a mixed team of Electric and Plant Pokémon in battle against Impergator. However, if Impergator has the Ice Beam attack, you should only take Electric Pokémon with you – Ice Beam will have a devastating effect on your Plant Pokémon if you can’t dodge effectively. Other than that, Impergator shouldn’t cause you any major problems in the Raid.

If you want to add the Water Pokémon to your collection, also note the following : Impergator is quite suitable for arena offense in the meta-game due to its stats and maximum CP. However, Impergator is heavily dependent on its moveset: If you manage to catch an Impergator with the attacks Aquacnare (Water) and Hydropump (Water) or Bite (Unlight) and Hydropump, you are well positioned in terms of DPS. All other combinations, including Ice Blast, Aquacnare, and Crusher, are significantly behind, which reduces Impergator’s overall value in the metagame.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
