The cult Pokémon Glurak has fluttered into the Tier 3 Raids of Pokémon Go and is waiting for challengers. If you still need some tips, be sure to check out our counter guide to Glurak in Pokémon Go!
Glurak can be found in Pokémon Go’s Raids, and that’s absolutely fantastic news! You can evolve Glurak into Mega Glurak X and Mega Glurak Y, and let your opponents use them to haggle over moles. The Shiny hunters among you can also rejoice – well, if they have a touch of luck!
Glurak is a really cool and useful Pokémon in Pokémon Go in all respects. When it shows up in its black-scaled Shiny Glurak body, you’re even more excited! And since the battle in Pokémon Go is “only” a Tier 3 Raid, it’s not all that hard either! We recommend that you quickly read our current counter guide to Glurak in Pokémon Go to find out which attackers are best suited for the fight, and then you’re ready to go!
Glurak as a raid boss
Glurak is of the Fire and Flight type. That means it’s best to pack your strongest rock attackers into your team, because they really pack a punch due to their effectiveness on both types of Gluraks. If the sky is cloudy, they will be strengthened even more. If you don’t have that many rock attackers in your team, you can also rely on water and electric attackers. Both are boosted in rainy weather and deal more damage.
Glurak holds a whopping 19,579 WP for you, making it a bit more stubborn, but still a lot easier than you’d think. If you can’t do it alone, team up with a few other Pokémon Go players! Below you will find the best attackers against Glurak!
- Mega Aerodactyl with stone throwing and stone hailing
- Crypto Despotar with catapult and stone edge
- Rameidon with catapult and hail of stones

Pokémon Go: Catch Glurak
Once you’ve defeated Glurak, it’s down to the nitty gritty as usual – Pokéball away! At level 20, the Pokémon from the first generation has 1651 CP with a 100% IV value. If the Pokémon is boosted to level 25 on Wind, it will have 2064 CP with perfect 100% IV values. We wish you a successful hunt!
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
