PoGO – Pokémon GO: Full psycho! What Mollimorba and Monozyto are good for (quick tip)

PoGO – Pokémon GO: Full psycho! What Mollimorba and Monozyto are good for (quick tip)If you caught a lot of Pokémon during the Psycho Event in Pokémon GO in March, you probably have one or the other Mollimorba or Monozyto. We explain in our quick tip what these mon are good for and whether evolving them is worth it.

Fans of Pokémon GO can still participate in the Psycho Event until tonight, March 30, 2020 at 10:00 p.m., and catch various Psycho Pokémon – including lots of Mollimorbas and Monozytos, which can be evolved in two stages. We explain in detail what the two Psycho Monsters are good for and whether the is worth it.

Mollimorba, Hypnomorba and Morbitesse

If you want to evolve Mollimorba to Hypnomorba, you need 25 candies. If you want to evolve Hypnomorba to Morbitesse, you will need another 100 candies. The three Pokémon have the following stats:

Mollimorba

  • Attack value: 98
  • Defense value: 112
  • KP value: 128
  • Maximum WP: 951

Hypnomorba

  • Attack value: 137
  • Defense value: 153
  • KP value: 155
  • Maximum WP: 1604

Morbitesse

  • Attack value: 176
  • Defense value: 205
  • KP value: 172
  • Maximum WP: 2419

Mollimorba and Hypnomorba are not really worth mentioning with these stats and are both in the last third of the stats ranking of all Pokémon currently available in Pokémon GO. Morbitesse can gain a few points compared to Mollimorba and Hypnomorba and learns useful attacks like Stone Hail (type Rock) and Charm (type Fairy), but it disappoints with a low attack and KP value. This makes Morbitesse not very suitable for PvE or PvP – other Psycho Pokémon like Mewtu and Psiana simply perform much better.

Monozyto, Mitodos and Zytomega

To evolve Monozyto into Mitodos you also need 25 Candies, while Mitodos evolves into Zytomega with 100 Candies. The three Pokémon then each have these values:

Monocyto

  • Attack value: 170
  • Defense value: 83
  • KP value: 128
  • Maximum WP: 1367

Mitodos

  • Attack value: 208
  • Defense value: 103
  • KP value: 163
  • Maximum WP: 2018

Cytomega

  • Attack value: 214
  • Defense value: 148
  • KP value: 242
  • Maximum WP: 2927

Monozyto and its evolutions do have significantly better stats than Mollimorba, Hypnomorba, and Morbitesse for the most part. However, because all three Pokémon have really subterranean defense stats, even the good attack and useful attacks like Spookball (Spirit Type) and Power Reserve (Normal Type) don’t help the Psycho Monsters rank among the better Psycho Pokémon.

This means that Mollimorba, Monozyto and their respective evolutions are really only interesting for those Pokémon GO players who want to complete their Pokédex. Otherwise, it is at most worthwhile to keep a few of the Mon for trading in case they appear rarely(er) after the end of the Psycho Event. All others should rather concentrate on Puppance and Lunastein for the remaining hours of the event, because Puppance is available as Shiny for the first time and Lunastein only very rarely appears in the Shiny variant.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
