PoGO – Pokémon GO: Equinox Box Sale - which box is worth it for whom?
THOSE: BUFFED

In Pokémon Go, you can put your Pokécoins into the new contents for Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox and Adventure Box since the Equinox event. However, only the really expensive boxes, i.e. Hyperbox and Adventure Box, are really worthwhile, but they are only aimed at two types of players.

Since the Equinox event, you can once again invest a lot of Pokécoins in the box sales in Pokémon Go, as long as you belong to one or the other specific player type. By the way, the adventure box, which is just as expensive as the hyperbox, seems to be a fixed part of the sales in the meantime, but usually offers opposing content. Apparently, the people responsible for Pokémon Go have realized that they can’t satisfy all trainers at the same time with their box offers. That’s why there are now four boxes: Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox and Adventure Box.

Who are the current contents of the boxes aimed at? We’ll tell you after we show you what’s inside them. A small spoiler at this point: As already indicated, there can’t really be anyone among the hardcore fans of Pokémon Go who would be disappointed by a box sale… The contents of the current Pokémon Go boxes look like this:

Box Special BoxSuper BoxHyper Box Adventure Box
Price480 Poké coins780 Poké coins1.480 Poké coins1.480 Poké coins
Content20 x Hyperball3 x Premium Raid Pass16 x Premium Raid Pass12 x Super Incubator
2 x Premium Raid Pass4 x Super Incubator3 x Super Incubator2 x Egg Incubator
2 x Egg incubator6 x Star piece3 x Attractor module3 x Attractor module
1 x lucky egg20 x sanana berry4 x lucky egg4 x lucky egg

Of course, the contents of Hyperbox and Abenteuerbox are the most likely to catch the eye. The target groups of the two most expensive packages are quickly identified. Raiders grab the Hyperbox and save a few Pokécoins compared to buying the Premium Raid Passes individually. Add in the spawn machines, which are more of a nice-to-have than a real feature, and you’ll save more.

If you’re one of those trainers who has to travel quite a distance to breed anyway, then you’ll like the Adventure Box better, as you’ll save almost 1,000 Poké Coins on the Super Hatcheries alone compared to buying them individually. The catch is that the box doesn’t include any Raid Passes at all, and there’s no big box that satisfies players who get both Passes and Hatcheries in a balanced ratio. Either or is the motto.

You’ll save coins on the superbox, too, of course, though not as many as you’ll save on the larger variants. If you’re looking for an alternative for hatchers and raiders, you’ll find it here, as the box contains hatchers and raid passes. And it still supports those of you who want to farm stardust. However, these cannot currently be combined with events in a meaningful way. Only when the efforts of Niantic players bear fruit on Earth Day can the stardust pieces really pay off, because then a stardust double bonus beckons.

If you disregard the Adventure Box, then the Super Box savings are almost exactly the same as the Ultra Box in percentage terms (at 44 to 45 percent). If you really don’t want that many Raid Passes, consider buying a Superbox twice, because then you’ll get six Premium Raid Passes AND eight Super Spawners for 1,560 Poké Coins. On the front end alone, that’s a savings of almost 700 coins compared to buying them individually.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
