The trainers who participated in Pokémon Go Fest have been busy and have unlocked for all players of Pokémon Go the event Hyperbonus: Dragon Week unlocked for all Pokémon Go players. We have in our guide to Dragon Week in Pokémon Go all the info so far on the Temporary Research Hyperbonus 2020 with steps and rewards as well as the activated bonuses!
Kaumalat, Rayquaza, Kindwurm, Kapuno and more – these dragon Pokémon are the focus of the event Hyperbonus: Dragon Week, which Pokémon Go Fest 2020 players have unlocked for all fans of Niantic’s pocket monster app. We’ll briefly summarize all the information known so far for you below. After that, we’ll lay the foundation for the limited research for Dragon Week, which will allow you to grab two Kapuno – sweet!
- The Dragon Week event in Pokémon Go will begin on July 31, 2020 at 10:00 pm and will be active until August 7, 2020 at 10:00 pm.
- The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: ALoLa Kokowei, Seeper, Dratini, Knacklion, Wablu, and Kindwurm. With luck, you may even encounter a Kaumalat!
- The following Pokémon hatch from 7-km eggs: Seeper, Dratini, Knacklion, Wablu and Kindwurm. With a tremendous amount of luck, even Kaumalat or Kapuno will hatch from 7-km eggs!
- Rayquaza appears in level 5 raids.
- Complete Temporary Research this week to catch a full two Kapuno! The Temporary Research is available during the same time period as the event.
- If you’re lucky, you may even encounter Iridescent Kapuno, so Shiny Duodino and Shiny Trikephalo will also come into play!
Regarding the Pokémon that are increasingly hatched from the 7km eggs, we also note that on July 31, 2020, the hatching bonus activated due to the Corona pandemic will theoretically expire, which reduces the current walking distance required for hatching eggs to half. It is not yet known whether this will be extended.
If you want to tackle the very good dragon fighter Rayquaza in the raid, you can find an updated list of the best fighters for your team in our counter guide to Rayquaza. Unfortunately, there is still no official or unofficial information about the limited research for Dragon Week, except that you can catch two Kapuno as part of the rewards. As soon as there is news about this, we will of course update the guide accordingly. Since the event starts worldwide at 22:00 our time, you can expect an update only then. Update from July 31, 2020: We have completed the steps and rewards of the Temporary Research Hyperbonus 2020 for you.

Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
