With the return of Darkrai, the Pokémon in the Tier 1 to Tier 4 Raids have changed again in Pokémon Go. We show you which pocket monsters you will encounter and for which the use of a Raid Pass is worthwhile.
With the return of Darkrai in the Tier 5 Raids of Pokémon Go, the list of Pokémon in the Tier 1 to Tier 4 Raids has also changed. For the first time, the long-distance Raid Passes give you the opportunity to participate in long-distance Raids from home. In the following, we will show you which Pokémon are active, which are available in the iridescent form, and which animal is particularly worthwhile.
Pokémon Go: Current boss list as of 4/29 – Darkrai’s return
Tier 1
Wadribie
Pionskora *
Praktibalk *
Klikk *
Toxiped
If you’re still looking for counters to Darkrai, don’t miss out on Praktibalk Raids – if you have enough Raid Passes. Its second evolution, Meistagrif, has now overthrown the king of Battle Pokémon (Machomei).
Tier 2
Knuddeluff
ALoLa Kokowei *
Kirlia
Flunkifer *
Anorith *
Tier 3
ALoLa Raichu
Kicklee
Nockchan
Sichlor *
Meditalis
If you need a good bug attacker, Sichlor or its evolution Scherox is a good choice. There is also a chance to get the iridescent variant.
Tier 4
Smettbo
Machomei
ALoLa Knogga
Galar Smogmog
Togetic
Yes, you have seen correctly: Machomei has moved from Tier 3 to Tier 4 and thus can no longer be done alone. Similar to Praktibalk, you equip yourself with Machomeis for the fight against Darkrai. With Togetic, or its evolution, you have a chance at one of the best fairy attackers, who also does well in the Go Fighting League.
Tier 5
Darkrai *
Darkrai continues to be one of the best Unlight attackers. So, you should take your chances before he makes his escape again on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 1pm PDT (GMT -7). After that, the transformation form of Giratina will appear in Tier 5 raids of Pokémon Go. If you are looking for the best counter Pokémon against Darkrai, we recommend you our matching Darkrai boss guide. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get a dazzling Darkrai.
Ex-Raid
Due to the Corona Crisis, Ex-Raids are currently paused.
* = possible as iridescent variant
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
