The dragon Pokémon Brutalanda from the Hoenn region has landed in the Tier 3 Raids of Pokémon Go and is waiting for your strongest Pokémon! You don’t want to miss out on Brutalanda, because it’s only a matter of time before the developers of Pokémon Go bring Brutalanda’s Mega Evolution into the game! If you need some more tips, hop on over to our Pokémon Go guide and get all the Brutalanda counter info you need!
It’s been a few years now since we celebrated Community Day with Kindwurm in 2019, and also at the Pokémon Go festivals in the summer of 2021, the chance of getting the little dragon Pokémon was increased. As it is, however, with Pokémon of such a development series occur otherwise rarely, and one or the other had so far hardly the opportunity to get to the last development Brutalanda.
If that’s the case, now’s your chance to catch the Pseudo-Legendary! Don’t know what a Pseudo-Legendary is in Pokémon? Then read up here! You’ll definitely want Brutalanda, because with the recent revamp of Mega Evolution in Pokémon Go, it’s only a matter of time before Mega Brutalanda comes into play, too! So raid away and grab a good Brutalanda – here’s our Pokémon Go counter guide for Brutalanda as a raid boss!
Brutalanda as a raid boss
Brutalanda is of the dual type dragon and flight, which means it has one insane weakness, and that is attackers with ice type attacks. They get boosted when the snow falls! But once you’ve thawed out the icebox, you can also fall back on attackers with attacks of the type Rock (boosted on cloudy skies), Dragon (boosted on wind) and Fairy (boosted on overcast skies). But be careful: since Brutalanda can do Dragon-type Charging Attacks, your Dragon Pokémon are also easy targets!
Brutalanda is one of the tougher Tier 3 raid bosses at 23,700 CP, but is doable on its own with high levels and the perfect counters. If you lose, find some other Pokémon Go players. I’m sure they’ll be happy to help! Below in the counter guide you will find a list of the best attackers against Brutalanda.
- Crypto Mamutel with powder snow and avalanche
- Crypto Snibunna with ice shard and avalanche
- Crypto Mewtu with psycho blade and ice ray

Pokémon Go: Catch Brutalanda
Once you’ve defeated Brutalanda, it’s down to the nitty gritty – Pokéball away! At level 20, the Dragon Pokémon and Pseudo-Legendary has 2142 CP with a 100% IV value. If the Pokémon is boosted to level 25 on Wind, it has 2678 CP with perfect 100% IV values. We wish you a successful hunt!
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
