PoGO – Pokémon GO: Are Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox worth it for Giratina and Halloween?

PoGO – Pokémon GO: Are Special Box, Super Box, Hyperbox worth it for Giratina and Halloween?
SOURCE: BUFFED

For the start of the Halloween event and Giratina as a new Tier 5 boss in the arenas of Pokémon Go, the developers at Niantic have filled the Special Box, Super Box and Hyperbox in the in-game store of Pokémon Go with new content. These are interesting for the raiders among you – but not otherwise.

In Pokémon Go, with the start of the Halloween event, the content of the Special Box, Superbox and Hyperbox packages available in the in-game store has changed. By allowing Giratina to now appear in Tier 5 raids, the makers of the app from Niantic want to offer something especially to the raid-happy trainers among you. However, the offers are not so attractive that you should make an unconditional purchase recommendation – that’s what the authors of Pokémon Go Hub think. In the following, we will tell you what is actually in the Special Box, Super Box and Hyperbox.

3 x Premium Raid Pass7 x Premium Raid Pass12 x Premium Raid Pass
1 x Star Piece3 x Lucky Egg6 x Lucky Egg

The savings aren’t particularly appealing this time around, and if you’re not interested in Raids at all, you can safely ignore the current offers. Even the starters among you won’t gain much from the special box, which is actually suitable for beginners in Pokémon Go. It is true that this is the only box that contains a Star Piece, and the two Hatcheries and the three Premium Raid Passes would cost you more if you bought them individually. However, if you’re only interested in the raid passes, you’ll be better off buying them individually.

You should also only buy the Super Box if you want the Raid Passes, because you will get more Smoke, Super Incubators and Lucky Eggs for 80 Poké Coins. The Superbox actually offers the best value in terms of premium Raid Passes.

That leaves the Hyperbox. Compared to the Hyperbox that came into the store as a Tier 5 boss in the Mewtu release, the current Hyperbox offers two fewer Raid Passes. Admittedly, you’ll save cash again; the Super Incubators alone would cost you 2,000 Pokécoins. If you want both Raid Passes and Super Brood Machines, go for it.

If you want to get Raid Passes exclusively, then you’d better go for the Superbox (you’ll get 14 Premium Raid Passes for 1,560 Pokécoins with two Superboxes, while the Hyperbox contains only 12 Raid Passes for 80 Pokécoins less). If you want to store for Super Brooders, take the Hyperbox ( you’ll get ten Super Brooders for 1,480 coins, while if you buy a Superbox twice you’ll only get six Super Brooders).

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
