PoGO – Pokémon Go: ALoLa Knogga gets shadow bones on raid day

For most Pokémon Go players, the fact that a raid day with ALoLa Knogga will take place during the 2020 Halloween event will be rather incidental. But to warm up the fans a bit for the event on October 31, 2020, the developers at Niantic have announced that ALoLa Knogga will learn the exclusive attack Shadow Bone. We give you a small counter guide to ALoLa Knogga on the way.

In all the Halloween events in Pokémon Go, one detail may have been overlooked or dismissed as unimportant by many players without a raid affinity: On October 31, 2020, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., a raid event with ALoLa Knogga will take place. In other words, during these hours, ALoLa Knogga will increasingly appear in the Raids. To make the event a bit more attractive for players, the developers of Pokémon Go have announced that ALoLa Knogga that you catch during the event will learn the exclusive attack Shadow Bone.

Does the ALoLa Knogga, the Pokémon of the types Fire and Spirit, make you more attractive and you want to take a Raid battle? Good! Because then we have a few counter for you in the quick guide to ALoLa Knogga. The pocket monster is quite tough and has caused many a headache for raiding trainer duos in the past.

Pokémon Go: ALoLa Knogga as Raid Boss

As a raid boss, ALoLa Knogga “only” has 13,525 WP that you have to beat down, but there is a reason why the Pokémon was one of the most difficult opponents on Tier 4 before the raid change. On Tier 3, you’ll have to bite off a lot solo, but with one or two friends, you should be able to master the fight. If you have successfully completed the battle against ALoLa Knogga and have the chance to banish the pocket monster into your Pokéball, then ALoLa Knogga has 1,048 CP at level 20 with 100% IV values. If ALoLa Knogga is boosted to level 25 in sunny or foggy weather, then it has 1,311 CP at perfect 100% IV values. ALoLa Knogga can also be caught as a Shiny. You should bring the following counters with you for the battle – however, we will disregard Crypto Pokémon here.

  • Mega Gengar with Licker and Spookball
  • Mega Dog Demon with Telltale and Parasite
  • Mega Turtok with aqua gun and aqua howitzer
  • Rameidon with catapult and hail of stones
  • Darkrai with tirade and spookball
  • Skelabra with burden and spookball
  • Kyogre with cascade and surfer
  • Krebutak with tirade and crab hammer
  • Rihornior with clay clam and rock throw
  • Kingler with blubber and crab hammer
  • Gengar with dark claw and spookball
  • Terrakium with catapult and hail of stones

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.

Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.

Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More

The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from .gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
