Original news from July 3, 2021: In July 2021, Pokémon Go will celebrate its birthday! Not only will Pokémon be 25 years old, but Pokémon Go itself now has five years under its belt. Accordingly, the developers at Niantic want to celebrate properly from July 6, 2021 at 10:00 am and until July 15, with their own event. The only thing is: So far, there is no information about it, which should have been announced “at the beginning of July”. Accordingly, you’ll have to be patient a little longer.
Community Day with Floink
On July 3, 2021, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Pokémon Go will first host Community Day with Floink, which not only brings Shiny Floink into the game, but also teaches the second evolution of the Fire Ferrel, Flambirex, the powerful fire attack Lohe Cannonade. You can find all the information in our guide to the special research Roasted Nuts.
Go fight night in July 2021
On July 11, 2021, there will be another battle night in the Battle League between 6:00 pm and 11:59 pm. You’ll be able to compete in up to 100 battles and earn three times as much stardust for victories, completed battle sets, and rank advancements in the Battle League. Note, however, that the Battle Night stardust bonus will not be combined with the double stardust you will receive from June 28, 2021 to July 12, 2021.
Pokémon Go Fest 2021
On July 17 and 18, 2021, Pokémon Go Fest 2021 will take place between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm each day. Whether you want to spend the money for the event ticket or not, there’s plenty to do for everyone! Here you can find information about the Pokémon Go Fest itself, the raid day with all the Legendarys released so far, and the live events in selected cities.
Pokémon GO
Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.
Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights
Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy. Join either Team Intuition (Team Yellow, Zapdos), Team Wisdom (Team Blue, Arktos), or Team Daring (Team Red, Lavados). Under their flag you can then fight for the arenas, which are placed at hotspots like churches or similar. Pokémon can appear anywhere, though.
Pocket monsters visible on the Pokémon Go Map are randomly loaded into the game’s virtual map by the game server. If several players are playing in the same location, each player can see and catch the Pokémon independently of the others.
Pokémon Go Updates, News, Raids and More
The developers at Niantic regularly provide Pokémon Go with new updates or special raids that should only be tackled in a group of several people. The Pokémon Go Raids are therefore very popular, as they also offer the prospect of particularly rare Pokémon. For example, in the past, legendary Pokémon could always be caught on special occasions (Pokémon Go events). For particularly eager mobile or smartphone Pokémon trainers, there is also an external IV calculator, such as the online tool from Pokemon.gameinfo.io or on Pokefans.net, to check the values of your Pokémon.
