Due to a glitch, players of Call of Duty: Warzone currently build completely overpowered weapons without recoil – the developers react after a few hours.
If you look at hardcore speed runners from old games like Zelda on the N64, you can often see a through-choreographed dance of glitches.
Sometimes you think to yourself – how were such things discovered? Who, please, took the time to research the game’s bugs so deeply?
With the latest bug in Call of Duty: Warzone, a similar thought suggests itself. Through a crazy sequence of certain actions, attachments can be built onto weapons that aren’t actually designed for them.
Glitch allows more essays – Mixes CoD eras too.
What is this glitch? The glitch allows players to transfer attachments from a held weapon in the match to another weapon in their own loadout.
This leads to overpowered weapons, as especially the newer Vanguard weapons have some extremely powerful attachments, but they are not available for every weapon.
However, it’s not just about Vanguard weapons. The guns from Cold War and CoD MW can also be “upgraded” using this method – not without breaking the rules, of course.
How does it work? We will refrain from providing instructions for this glitch. However, as mentioned, the sequence of actions falls into the category: “How do you discover something like that”?
Does it stay that way? A few hours after the glitch made its first rounds through the CoD community, the developers at Raven Software already reacted to the issue.
Tweet translation: “We are investigating a problem that unintentionally allows weapon attachment perks to transfer between weapons.”
Currently, the developers are investigating the problem and will bring a solution as soon as possible. However, it is impossible to say for sure how long this will take. It is possible that the glitch will remain in the game for more than a week or will be removed already this week.
According to our experience, it should not take longer than that.
It remains to be seen how much the glitch is used by players to convert weapons that are actually useless into OP weapons.
Especially the new Vanguard perks like “Careful Aiming” or “Firm Grip” could give old weapons a tremendous potential. But also “Dexterity” on a Kar 98k from CoD MW would already have strong effects.
If you try the glitch yourself, keep in mind that you will quickly be considered a cheater. If you get too many reports from players, you might end up like this cheater: Cheater despairs of CoD Warzone’s anti-cheat – “Opponents just disappear!”
