What is this bug?

In the last few days, a bug has been discovered in League of Legends that allows the champion Rek’Sai to deal an enormous amount of damage with a single blow, even at a low level.

As early as 4/17, videos circulated on YouTube showing the bug in action:

• Rek’Sai uses the ability “E” to tunnel to an enemy
• But a bug causes everything at the exit of the tunnel to be set to only 1 health point
• So Rek’Sai only needs one more hit after the grave attack to take down the opponent

Players demand that Riot disable Rek’Sai immediately

What makes the bug so serious?

Because of the bug, Rek’Sai can even defeat the Baron with one blow, which throws off the whole balance. Actually, a kill of the Baron is a game-changing event for which the whole team has to work together: After the Baron’s kill, the team that delivered the death blow receives powerful bonuses.

In addition, the bug allows Rek’Sai to attack players via “ganks” in early levels by complete surprise and take them out relatively safely. Because no one expects to drop so low in health, such an attack creates a high shock effect: In LoL, there’s “too much damage”, but not that much.

It’s just an unfair bug that totally destroys the game. Whoever is confronted with it in Rank is frustrated and passes on this frustration.

What do the players demand?

On Twitter, players are calling on Riot Games to take the entire champion out of the game immediately and cold-cock it for now until the bug is fixed.

They keep sharing pictures and screenshots of players abusing Rek’Sai’s current status as a “monster” in order to ruin the gameplay for others.
