Players cheekily farm #weapon camos because a new mode lacks a feature

CoD Warzone has a new, whimsical game mode. But since this one does nothing against AFK players, others can benefit from it harshly. Learn here how one player earned massive points for new camos quickly and easily.

What kind of mode are we talking about? The new game mode “Caldera Clash” has come to the Warzone with – Season 2. The whole thing is reminiscent of a big round of team deathmatch. 48 players per team shoot each other down on the Pacific map. There are respawns and a lot of action.

What’s the problem? However, the Clash moduus lacks an important feature that many other shooters have. Namely, an AFK kicker. This allows players who are not actively gaming to stay in the game indefinitely. Their characters then just stand around like oil idols and do nothing. Still, they get a minimum of points at the end for just participating. Even more if their team actually wins somehow.

Therefore, some players even take advantage of this and just stay in the game through the night while they go to sleep in real-life. The game then continues on and on and in the end they have “earned” a big chunk of points.

Player brazenly farms players who don’t fight back

How to exploit this? Since the AFK players in the game are legitimate targets nonetheless, one player and reddit user thought “I’ll grab them” and he snuck into the enemy spawn with a Sniper Rifle. There were massive amounts of AFK comrades standing around. He was able to kill them with pleasure one after the other with headshots.

He kept doing that until it did get him. But thanks to the field upgrade “Tactical Insertion” he was able to set his respawn point to that spot again and farm the AFKers again and again. In the end, he had 104 kills and unlocked various camo skins for his weapon. Thanks to the double XP , it was even more worth it.

Is that even allowed? Since AFK players are legitimate targets, there is nothing to stop you from killing them. In fact, their existence is due to a missing feature. Still, it’s not exactly heroic to shoot down opponents who don’t fight back anyway.

The reactions on reddit are also mixed. Some players want to know how to copy it, while others find the whole mode strange at the moment, with so many players trying to unlock achievements without much effort. That is certainly not the developers’ intended purpose for the new mode.

What do you think of the method of farming AFKlers to unlock skins quickly? Is it ok or just lazy? Let us know in the comments!
