When players solo raid bosses in WoW, it’s hardly something special anymore. It’s much more unusual when a player defeats the heads of the enemy faction in rows, completely without help. Especially because the battles last very long and enemy players could intervene at any time.
In the past, raids on the enemy WoW capital took place extremely regularly, with usually the same several full 40-player raids going out. The target here was the leader of the opposing faction, or more specifically the various heads of the cities. In the past few years, however, has greatly diminished and today you hardly see city raids in WoW. And what do you do if you can’t find any teammates? You just go off on your own. The player Archvaldor did that and accomplished something that until now was thought to be impossible. He flew around the Horde capitals and knocked out all the Horde bosses one by one – completely solo!
From fall fruit Lor’themar to the challenge Sylvanas
Scoffers would say that Archvaldor had to go alone because there are not enough Alliance players on the servers. However, it was his free decision. He wanted to test whether it is now possible to kill all bosses solo.
- He started in Silver Moon with Lor’themar, the boss of the blood elves. According to Archvaldor, this is the easiest of the bosses. The fight is simple, as some abilities don’t seem to have been scaled up properly. However, it takes a good hour to beat down the Blood Elf’s many health points.
- Also Baine in Donnerfels was not much harder. However, Archvaldor had to play around a bug here that kept causing the boss to reset. With a bit of trickery and good positioning in a tent corner, however, the problem could be gotten out of the way and Baine also fell over after about an hour.
- Next he turned his attention to Rohkan in Orgrimmar, who currently performed the role of warchief in Orgrimmar. In most cases, this fight is absolutely impossible because too many Horde players populate the city. So Archvaldor tried his hand at Rokhan in the middle of the night. Although the boss has very few health points, he is extremely crunchy. This is because he dispenses stacking debuffs and reduces the healing he receives. If the fight lasts too long, you won’t stand much of a chance.
- Last was Sylvanas in the old lower town turn. This was the most difficult and longest battle. Sylvanas has a similar amount of health as Baine and Lor’themar. Unlike them, however, you’ll also have to deal with tons of adds. In addition, Sylvanas disappears repeatedly and can only be attacked for a few seconds at a time when he reappears. In addition, there is a healing debuff and a fear effect. The fight itself lasts several hours, and if you don’t pay attention, the Adds will destroy you immediately.
Why Archvaldor did this? Primarily simply because he could do it by now. There were no real rewards besides the achievements that you also get in a raid. Unless you consider 70 to 90 gold as a relevant reward. But there should be easier and especially faster ways to get gold.
