Fortnite has a large emote collection that is expanded every – Season . Some, however, are so unfair that they are labeled as Pay2Win and are even specially customized by Epic Games. One player has now discovered a new emote that lets you dodge shots.
What is this emote? This is the “Board Flair” emote from the “Chloe Kim” icon series. When using the emote, your skin does a backflip with the snowboard and then poses with a peace sign to the audience.
However, one player posted a clip on reddit accidentally using the emote in battle. This allowed him to not only secure an “Epic Victory” but also brag about it.
Dodge and win with cool moves
Reddit user Ryzii_Mode-_- posted his video asking the community if the item store sells emotes that don’t give you in-game advantages. We’ve included his cool moves for you here:
The absurd thing here is that the winner of the round didn’t use the emote on purpose. He accidentally came up with the gesture selection in the heat of the moment, and thus chose his life-saving moves from Chloe Kim.
What does the community say? Players on reddit are going crazy and can’t believe the awesome stunt Ryzii_Mode-_- pulled off. They joke about the fight with comments like:
- He stopped playing the game after that and went to do his homework – Wabi-Sabibitch
- Damn that was so sick and it’s even better since it happened by accident – Huqs
- That was the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen in this game – Quantum_Helix
Have there been any other incidents? This emote isn’t the only one you can use to dodge bullets or gain an advantage in battle. Already in Chapter 1, Epic had the emote “Deep Dab” available for purchase.
Many players use this emote to dodge bullets while irritating and knocking back opponents. After this incident, Epic introduced an emote cooldown that prevents you from immediately hitting back after a gesture.
However, even in Chapter 3 – Season 1, many use Spider-Man’s gesture to linger on ceilings to ambush unsuspecting enemies. However, this was not generated and therefore still circulates around.
What do you think of emotes like this? Do you think it’s excessive that players see them as Pay2Win or do you don’t care because you would have won a fight that way? Do you also use such emotes to distract your opponents? Let us know in the comments!
