PAX Arena Valorant Invitational Playoffs: All about the games, teams & favorites!

PAX Arena Valorant Invitational Playoffs: All about the games, teams & favorites! The biggest official tournament to date, the PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational, is currently in the playoffs. How TSM, T1 and Co. did, we reveal here.

The PAX Arena Invitational kicked off on Wednesday, July 22 with 20 teams, making it the largest tournament of the Ignition Series to date. Following the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Invitational a month ago, the PAX Valorant tournament is the second tournament in the North America region and features some top-notch teams. You can find all about it here:

The group stage was pure carnage! In each group, the clearly dominant teams emerged. In Group A: TSM, Group B: T1, Group C: Immortals & Group D: Sentinels. T1 and Sentinels did not give away a single map – despite opponents like Team Envy, Echo 8, Complexity and Cloud 9.

Surprisingly poor was the performance of Hiko’s Team 100 Thieves, who secured only one victory – against the Influencer Team 100 Blifted, in which Ninja also plays. In contrast to the freshly formed Team Envy, the newcomers from Complexity were not entirely convincing and slipped just past qualification.

The group stage ended as follows:

Group A:

TSM
Homeless
Built By Gamers
100 Thieves
100 Blifted

Group B:

T1
Team Envy
Way 2 French (replacement team for FaZe Clan)
Echo 8
Team Kephrii

Group C:

  • Immortals
  • Gen.G
  • MIXUP
  • Prospects
  • Team Mang0

Group D:

  • Sentinels
  • Cloud 9
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Renegades
  • OWL

Schedule for the playoffs

You can follow the playoffs here in the stream. Thanks to EarlyGame you won’t miss anything:

In the quarterfinals we will see the following matches in the Playoff Bracket on July 25 at 9:00 am (CET):

  • TSM vs. ENVY
  • Sentinels vs. Gen.G
  • T1 vs. Homeless
  • Immortals vs. Cloud 9

EarlyGame Prediction:

The teams with clean scores are once again the usual suspects. However, it might prove harder to make a concrete prediction. The only match we’ve seen so far was SEN vs GEN and that ended with a win for Sentinels – though that was a lower bracket Bo1 match.

ENVY has beaten everyone from Group B except for runner-up T1 by a clear 2-0 score. That, of course, speaks well for the chicks. But whether TSM will give them any puppy protection remains wishful thinking for now.

In our estimation, the other matches will go to Immortals and T1. As the third place team of the T1 x NSG showdown, Immortals should be able to defeat C9. Homeless are difficult to assess at the moment. The newcomers have to face T1, which is no walk in the park either. We guess that the match will go to T1.
