The Valorant v2.02 patch brings a lot of changes and bug fixes that fans have been longing for. We’ll give you a quick overview of everything you need to know.
So many people have been asking for changes to Ranked Mode that it got to a point where it could no longer be ignored. Now it’s finally not being ignored anymore because Riot listened… for once.
But seriously, this has been a problem that has gone on for far too long. Too many players found themselves in lobbies with other players that were way above their level. It was, simply put, unfair.
However, that has been fixed (see more below), just like many other issues, big and small, that players have been having for quite some time.
Valorant v2.02 Patch Notes
Weapon updates
Updated precision of assault rifles in motion (Bulldog/Guardian/Phantom/Vandal)
- Error value when walking for all assault rifles increased: 3,75 >>> 5,0
- Error value while walking for all assault rifles increased: 0,8 >>> 1,1
- Error value when walking crouched increased for all assault rifles: 0,3 >>> 0,8
Updates to the weighted mode
- Improved the efficiency of the ranking score alignment. This allows players to approach their matchmaking rank (MMR) faster and require fewer games to confirm their rank.
- Players from Iron to Diamond who perform exceptionally well in a match (weighted against their own average performance) will receive a bonus ranking.
- Your current rank on the leaderboard is now displayed on the Career: Act Rank tab. At the end of an act, your final rank on the leaderboard is saved and displayed on the Act Rank badge you earned.
Mode updates
- A ping barrier has been added to the in-game weapon store to prevent players from always logging in their purchases in quick succession, as this can cause performance issues.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where players could silently place the spike.
- Fixed a bug where players could not move after exiting a Sova drone or Cypher camera.
- Fixed a bug where players could not exit the Cypher camera perspective or move their mouse cursor.
- Fixed a bug where picking up one weapon that was on top of another would cause you to pick up both.
- Fixed a bug where the chat window would stay open in-game.
- Fixed a bug where enemy messages were displayed in Deathmatch even though the setting to mute all enemies had been enabled.

- Fixed a bug where the promotion screen was displayed shorter than intended.
- Fixed a bug where the wrong “Immortal” icon was displayed in some positions.
- Fixed several localization issues that made it difficult to read text on the end-of-game screen, in the lobby, and in match history in certain languages.
- Fixed bugs where various abilities in Brimstone and Jett’s smoke would not work even if they were visible to their target.
- Fixed a bug with Omen’s Obfuscated Steps that caused him to be stuck on corners even at longer distances.
- Fixed a bug where Yoru would throw an imitation through a teleporter, and throwing another projectile afterwards would cause the agent’s audio to play instead of the object’s.
- Fixed a bug where Skye’s seeker could not find enemies on the zipline platform on Area B of Split.
- Fixed a bug that caused Yoru to get stuck in various places on the map when using “Surprise Visit”.
- Sova can now perform his correct movement animation after finishing his owl drone. correct movement animation after his owl drone ends.
- Fixed a bug where Omen could swap equipment right after selecting a map location for “Out of the Shadows”.
- Fixed a bug where Omen’s camera could become detached when using Dark Veil in combination with a poor internet connection.
- Fixed a bug where the spike could be placed on Sage’s Wall in Icebox areas.
- Reduced the brightness of the first frames after firing stun grenades.

What are Patchnotes?
Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.
What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
