Are you ready for patch 2.08 in Valorant? Well, you should be, because it’s coming soon! Riot Games haven’t revealed the detailed patch notes for the 2.08 update yet, but we already have a good idea of what will be included. Here’s what you can expect with Valorant Patch 2.08!
Patch 2.08 is set to be the next major update for Valorant. It will conclude the current Battle Pass and introduce Episode 2 Act 3. What exactly will be included in the new patch 2.08? We will try to answer that:
Valorant Patch 2.08 Prediction
Patch 2.08 in Valorant is going to be pretty big. Update 2.08 won’t be just a normal patch, it will introduce a new act in Valorant and we all know what that means. Let’s take a look at what Valorant Patch 2.08 might offer.
A new Valorant Agent
Each new act in Valorant so far has added a brand new agent to the game, so it’s only logical to expect another Valorant character for patch 2.08. This time the number of leaks was rather low and, compared to some previous agents, we don’t have much information. What we can predict is the role of the agent. Currently, the role distribution between the 15 playable agents is as follows:
- 5 Duelists
- 4 tacticians
- 3 initiators
- 3 Guardians
Chances are we’ll get an Initiator or Guardian as our next agent in Valorant.
A new Valorant Map
Valorant players have been waiting for a new map for what feels like an eternity. The latest map is Icebox, and it came last October. Leaks of a new map have been making the rounds lately and it all points to something tropical.
The name of the card was initially thought to be Foxtrot, but it turns out that it is actually called Breeze.
Numerous posters have also appeared in the game and they, too, suggest a kind of tropical paradise.
A new Battle Pass
Similar to every other Valorant act so far, this time there is a new Battle Pass. Expect the usual skins, weapon charms and various other cosmetics to be available with Valorant Patch 2.08.
Coaching Places
One of the biggest leaks lately was the revelation that Coaching Places will be added to Valorant with Patch 2.08. In case you’re wondering what that means: Coaching seats are exactly what it sounds like: the option for team coaches to be in the game watching their team. Does this mean that spectator mode is also coming with the new patch? Could be, but we wouldn’t bet on it. At least the pro scene will benefit greatly from the new feature, though.
Patch 2.08 Release Date
Patch 2.08 in Valorant is expected to be released tomorrow, April 21, or April 27. That’s the end date for the current Battle Pass, and so far that’s always been a good indicator of when the next big update is coming. That’s all we know so far. We’d really like to see a new weapon, but according to Riot, that’s not going to happen in 2021.

What are Patchnotes?

What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
