I’m sure you’re all eagerly awaiting the new act and the upcoming release of the new Agent Chamber. So the community is rather looking forward to patch 3.10 and the possibility to play the new agent and spam 5-stack games. Nevertheless, patch 3.09 prepares us for the new act, brings something new to the pistol rounds and brings us a skin collection we’ve never had before. Sounds interesting? Then let’s take a look at the patch notes!
Classic Nerfs
Let’s start with the most important changes in patch 3.9 – the Classic right-click nerfs. Pros (especially TenZ) have repeatedly said that this is the best option for pistol rounds and that the strong right-click feature for a free weapon is total nonsense.
Players have complained, and Riot has listened. Here are all the changes to the Classic’s right-click feature:
- Fire error during walking changed 0.05 >>> 0.6 (the total error value during
walking was increased from 1,95 to 2,5) - Fire error while running changed 0,2 >>> 1,3 (the total error value while running was increased from 2,1 to 3,2)
- Fire error while jumping changed 1,1 >>> 2,1 (the total error value while jumping was increased from 3,0 to 4,0)
The Classic was just too strong in melee and movement, especially for a free weapon. We are curious how the meta of the pistol rounds will change now, because with nerfs like this, something will surely change.
Radiant crisis 001 Skins
Patch 3.09 also brings a collection of skins inspired by comics. Sounds strange, but we didn’t expect something like this to look so cool in-game! Check it out for yourselves:
The entire bundle will cost 7100 Valorant points (Premium Edition) and will include the following weapons:
- Classic
- Phantom
- Spectre
- Bucky
- Close combat (baseball bat!)
Sometimes we feel like we’ve seen it all in Valorant, and then Riot’s artists show us that we have no idea. The new skins are super creative, especially when compared to some of the recent collections, like Spectrum and RGX 11Z Pro (StatTrak).
- What, you don’t have VR goggles in 2021 yet? Well, it’s about time then!
Fracture map updates
Last but not least, a few changes for Fracture!
- The attacker barrier at B Arcade has been moved back to attacker side bridge so defenders can better protect that area.
- The defender barrier at A Rope is now at the top of the rope so guards can better make their preparations.
- The sphere in A Hall has been moved to a more neutral location and is no longer easier for attackers to reach than defenders.
- There is now new cover in the attacker spawn that breaks the long line of sight from the entrance to Hall to B Main. Now attackers should be under less pressure when defenders move quickly aggressively.
We expect the map to be updated with new content by the end of Episode 3, and we can’t wait to see what it will look like in its final form!
What are Patchnotes?
Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.
What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
