Hotfix for Omen! | © Games

We are in the middle of Episode 3 Act 1 and get another update with many bug fixes, new eSport features and a hotfix for Omen. These are the patch notes for update 3.04!

We still have to be patient because of the patches for Viper and Yoru, but Riot is constantly working on numerous improvements for the gameplay. While we wait for the next act, which will probably bring us the new map “Canyon” and more of the Valorant lore, we get an update with some hoped-for hotfixes.

  • These are the most important info about the new map: Mystery of new Valorant map solved.

The fact that we’re still stuck in the same act may surprise some, but it will be fine. The new act will hardly be released during Masters: Berlin. So you should be prepared for a release between September 10 and 20. Either way – our prayers will be answered soon. Until then, however, there is nothing left for us to do but wait… In the meantime, we can enjoy the latest update. Here are the official Valorant Patch 3.04 Notes!

The most important changes in patch 3.04

The new patch 3.04 will be released tonight (5pm – 9pm CEST). The patch notes are long, but only a fraction of them have a real impact on the game. Therefore, we have prepared a summary of the most important changes in patch 3.04 for you!

Agent Updates: Omen

  • Fix: Omen’s dark veil moved in unintended directions

This fix probably won’t change too much. Omen will continue to be as strong as ever, maybe even be a little more consistent.

Esports Features

  • The customized player order from the lobby is now preserved for observers also in the agent selection and in the game
  • Tactical timeouts are now displayed in the color of the team that drew the timeout (blue-green for defenders, red for attackers)
  • Observers can now see the equipment equipped in Cypher’s hand
The white dot above a player’s head in 3rd person perspective is no longer displayed to spectators
  • Viper’s ult is displayed correctly on the observers’ map
  • Removed the brief glare that occurred when observers switched player targets or switched to players after tracking projectiles
  • You can no longer interact with the store during a timeout to stop the ghostly disappearance of weapons
  • Observers with Minimal HUD enabled now have the correct minimap switching settings when tracking other observers
  • Player nameplates no longer remain on the screen for projectile tracking observers

These are significant changes… Maybe Riot is preparing something new for Valorant eSports. It could be related to the new tournament mode after all!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that removed the “Limited Vision” effect when you were killed in smoke
  • Fixed a bug with Viper’s fuel. It will now stop being consumed after her smoke wears off if she is suppressed right when she triggers Poison Cloud or Toxin Screen
  • KAY/O no longer equips abilities that have no ammo if they were equipped and activated immediately after “ZERO/cmd” was activated
  • Other abilities can no longer be used on Cypher’s cybercage projectile when it is flying
  • Fixed a bug where the boost/weaken times for spectators or observers were not displayed correctly
  • Fixed a bug where the ability UI would show you visual effects for the suppressed state when watched allies were suppressed at the end of the last turn
  • Fixed a bug where attackers could gain a A bug was fixed where attackers could win if all living players died at the same time (e.g. by Raze’s “Full Pipe”) before the spike could be placed.

And that’s it for patch 3.04! Besides the listed changes, there were also some fixes to the graphical settings. For the full patch notes just click here.

What are Patchnotes?

What is Valorant?

Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.

Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.

Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
