Valorant Patch 2.08 was pretty big! Sure, it didn’t add a new agent like every other act patch before it, but we did get the new map Breeze, which was more than welcome. What can we expect from Valorant Patch 2.09?
It’s been two weeks since the last Valorant patch and you know what that means – another one should be out today. Patch 2.09 in Valorant is just around the corner and we expect Riot to release it later today, May 11. Here’s what you can expect.
Valorant Patch 2.09 Preview
One thing that will surely come with the new patch is a brand new game mode – Replication. While we initially thought it might be the Battle Royale teaser that showed up not too long ago with leaked mechanics, it turns out Replication is something else entirely.
Valorant Replication
The new game mode is pretty much a copy of a well-known mode in League of Legends – One for All. In it, players from both teams were forced to play with the same champion. The exact same thing will happen in Valorant, as the players will all have the same agent. This will probably make for some interesting scenarios, as Riot itself has already teased.
Needless to say, the mode will be rather casual, with fun being the main focus. Personally, we can’t wait to try it out!
Balance changes
Apart from the new mode, patch 2.09 will probably introduce balance changes for some agents. We’ve already heard from the developers that Yoru will be buffed even further. Whether that will happen with Valorant Patch 2.09 remains to be seen.
When is the Valorant Patch 2.09 release date?
As we mentioned earlier, Valorant Patch 2.09 was supposed to be released today, May 11. However, Riot sometimes forgets their own schedule, so it may not be released until tomorrow or the day after. In any case, we’ll keep you updated!
There are no official patch notes yet, but as soon as Riot releases them, you can expect another update. Are you looking forward to Replication? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter!

What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
